Gave them the part # but apparently the number is not showing on the Australian parts system. They kindly faxed Suzuki Australia to query screens for the Busa but they claim the website quoted is American and the part may not be imported into Oz by them. It's a case of wait & see at the moment so it may have to be an aftermarket brand. I then contacted Eagle Screens in Perth. They obviously don't have screens for the K8 yet and will need a OEM screen to take a moulding from. They say that will take at least 2 weeks. I'm not prepared to be without a screen for 2 weeks so will have to keep looking. RE: K8 screens - ROD - 27-11-2007 Has anyone had a close look at the pre 08 screens dont look much different to me if any but my eyes are not the best RE: K8 screens - Need_Speed - 27-11-2007 BUSA-RO Wrote:Has anyone had a close look at the pre 08 screens dont look much different to me if any but my eyes are not the best Savage Suzuki spare parts told me they are different but I havn't confirmed that? RE: K8 screens - larra - 28-11-2007 going to order one from the states , propably cheaper too RE: K8 screens - Need_Speed - 28-11-2007 Hi Larra, Can you let me know where you order one from please. I've had a surf of the net but can't find a site thta has a screen for the K8. I went to the Suzuki site mentioned by BusaNation but can't see a way of ordering off their site. Your help would be appreciated! RE: K8 screens - BUSGO - 28-11-2007 If it is any help, the accessories available from the Suzuki America website usually become available in Australia at most Suzuki dealers. You may have to wait a few months but they will probably get to us here in OZ eventually. If you can't wait, all you need to do is find a US Suzuki dealer that will ship parts or accessories to OZ for you. RE: K8 screens - Need_Speed - 28-11-2007 Thanks Busgo - sent you a msg. RE: K8 screens - BUSGO - 28-11-2007 I forgot to mention that most of the taller riders fit either GIXXER THOU OR BUELL pegs to their busas. They drop the peg location by about 3cm. Otherwise you can get rearsets that give you more space as well. RE: K8 screens - Need_Speed - 28-11-2007 Thanks for that advice - never thought of that??? Will go out to a dealer and have a look then compare some prices online! Cheers RE: K8 screens - Warchild - 11-12-2007 Below is what the Suzuki "accessory" windscreen looks like (after I tinted it a nice gloss black): (Firefox users can do a "right click - view image" operation to see these photos in their full size) Here's close-up of the Kanji artwork.... look subtle against the heavy tinting: |
