Location reefton/spur - Driller - 26-10-2007
Planning to do a run next year and just wanting to know where the reefton and spur runs are located and what towns they are near trying to get as much in as possible.And are they worth doing?

Definately worth doing Mark.
Because the Busa is a handful going down hill and through the twisties my preference is go from Healsville to Launching Place to Warburton. From Warburton go up and over the Reefton Spur to Marysville. Have a Latte and a bite to eat at the Bakery.
Then back to Healsville though the Black Spur. Biking heaven IMHO...... 
During the week is the go. Weekends are for the heroes/wobblers and tourists. (In that order 
)The End.

Sounds good thanks Phil will work that in to the trip going home and try and do it on weekday for sure we have the same issues up here on the Oxley!

ps Would you know what the roads like from Mansfield to Wangaratta the back way not the Midland hwy just trying to get a run north to Tallangatta and up through Kosciuszko.

yeah just watch for the paint all over the road now & the 2m high reflectors on the sides of the road as well... road surface suxs up there as well.

On the way down from Lilydale go through Tarrawarra to Healesville, its a better run. Done it the last 2 runs to the Spur.
