Thanks RE: HELP - xhiler8r - 16-10-2007 as ray said the ECU is different but the earlier models had their teething problems as in Timing Chain Tensioners the 02 had the starter clutch issues which by now should be all sorted I personally reckon anything from 03 upwards is a safe bet but I do ride a 00 model myself and have no problems I do know of a very nice red one for sale from a fellow member have a look in the for sale section on the site http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/showthread.php?tid=7550 RE: HELP - kanenu - 16-10-2007 xhiler8r Wrote:as ray said the ECU is different but the earlier models had their teething problems as in Timing Chain Tensioners the 02 had the starter clutch issues which by now should be all sorted I personally reckon anything from 03 upwards is a safe bet but I do ride a 00 model myself and have no problems I do know of a very nice red one for sale from a fellow member have a look in the for sale section on the site http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/showthread.php?tid=7550 Thanks heaps RE: HELP - xhiler8r - 16-10-2007 as for suspension they didnt change that brakes remain the same all the way from 99-07 dash changed from 340ks in 99-00 to a 280 k from 01 upwards and for HP well that differs from every bike but work on 158HP as a standard figure and go up to around the 175HP that all depends on the breakin of the bike from new and also the mood the little Japs were in when they assembled the donk RE: HELP - Volvi - 16-10-2007 being so close to mid Novembers delivery of the new generation 08 busa, you may want to consider that to. RE: HELP - Diablo - 16-10-2007 This one is also for sale!!! http://www.bikesales.com.au/as/search/sd.do?recIndex=4&modelID=1216&makeID=56&page=0&selectedModelIndex=46&y=20&state=4&selectedMakeIndex=65&previousResultPerPage=20¤tPage=1&x=61 RE: HELP - BUSGO - 16-10-2007 You may be interested in Shawn Giles 03 BUSA. He is flogging it at the moment but I reckon he is asking way too much. There are a lot of minor model changes over the years but very few that you can see by looking at the bike. None of them are as important as the change from an external fuel pump for the 99 and 2000 models to an internal pump in all the later models. RE: HELP - kanenu - 17-10-2007 BUSGO Wrote:You may be interested in Shawn Giles 03 BUSA. He is flogging it at the moment but I reckon he is asking way too much. The great thing about these bike compared to anything else on the market is they seem to hold there value pretty well. Interesting though if you look at the changes in each and every model in the gsxr range and the buse gets fark all?????? As I am used to the gsxr is there any/many mods to get them handling, turn in easy. I think I have heard something about jacking the back with a linkage kit??? RE: HELP - BUSGO - 17-10-2007 You can remove 1 link from the chain to shorten the wheelbase and you can slam the front forks through the tripple tree by about 15mm to sharpen it up a lot. Remember though that it is a high speed sport tourer, not a track or twisties bike. RE: HELP - xhiler8r - 17-10-2007 pm Spamanglen he has his on the track a fair bit he can lead you into the direction you are chasing a good rider with the right set up can get a Busa hooting along a track |
