Thunderbolt's Way - New England 29 - 30 October - BUSGO - 29-09-2005 OK fellas, it's time to tackle Thunderbolt's way again. I am meeting a couple of friends from QLD in Bendemeer on the afternoon of the 29th of October. The intention is to have a night at the pub and then ride down the Oxley on Sunday. We will split at Wauchope to head home. I think QLD has a long weekend. There may be limited rooms in the pub but there are other pubs and motels in WALCHA. (Not far away) This is an open invitation but please make your own arrangements if you want to meet up with us. I plan on leaving Raymond Terrace about 10am but that is flexible. The QLD guys won't arrive until late on the Saturday. I am the coordinator for them at this stage. Andrew, who trashed his SP1 on the last Oxley ride will be back for more on his FJR along with his brother. The other couple is a Busa newbie on an 03 Silver/Grey and his mate on a VFR800. I will be bringing 2 others up from Newcastle with me at this stage. 1 FJR and 1 BMW K1200S. I'll give you a call when I get the details sorted. The Bendemeer Hotel is booked out on the night of the 29th October for a wedding. The replacement plan is to book a pub or motel at Walcha for the Saturday night. So if you are planning on making this trip, get on the phone and make a booking for a room. There are 4 pubs and 2 motels in Walcha. Rgds BUSGO Edited by: BUSGO at: 11/10/05 9:45 pm Re: Thunderbolt's Way - New England 29 - 30 October - BUSGO - 12-10-2005 I have done the ring around and here are the available options for accomodation. Neither place has undercover parking but both have secure areas to park bikes. Walcha Motel 6777 2599 Single room with a queen bed $79, Twin room with 2 single or a queen and single bed $85. They have 14 rooms at the moment. Commercial Hotel 6777 2551 only have 4 rooms left and a single is $45, double is $65 and a twin share is $75. Both places have rooms available for the Sunday night as well if needed. I will be staying at the motel but Walcha is a small town and everything is walking distance. If you book either place tell them you are with Busgo's group. If the weather turns to shit BEFORE we leave the hole thing is OFF. (but that won't happen) Rgds BUSGO Re: Thunderbolt's Way - New England 29 - 30 October - 1hotBUSA - 12-10-2005 Simmo will need the $79 room with the queen bed as he will be bringing the Jellywrestler along from Armidale to root him stupid again, although I think it succeded last time.
