Shayne Re: Jindy Hook Up - simmo - 21-10-2005 No worrie Shane will do, the Putty rd as we call it is copper bate anyway, but its not a bad run around the loop Windsor / Broke / Wisemans ferry / back to Windsor and its not all that sort of far but you will loose a day doing it. Attention Sydney Guys & Gals how about meet 8am Maccas Narellan, sound ok leave 8.30 shall we just head down the Hume or is some one game to lead us around a back way Cheers Robert World Wide CEO Easyrider Imports www.easyriderimports.com.au Edited by: simmo at: 22/10/05 4:28 pm Re: Jindy Hook Up - kawasuki - 22-10-2005 Sounds good, I think also last year we also met at Pheasants Nest Mobil on the freeway for the one 's who missed Macas and also fuel up. Cheers, Kawasuki Re: Jindy Hook Up - BUSGO - 25-10-2005 Shane, I will be leaving Raymond Terrace early on Friday morning to travel via the Putty Rd and will be in Jindy by Friday arvo. (bugger the Hume Hwy) backroads most of the way. About 8 to 9 hours riding time which is easy in daylight savings. You are welcome to travel down with me if you like. If you are travelling alone or just two, I have a couple of spare beds where you could sleep Thursday night if you need. I also have to be back home on Sunday night so I will be heading home early on Sunday as well. If you would rather, there are a couple of good cheapish motels in Raymond Terrace as well. Rgds BUSGO Re: Jindy Hook Up - simmo - 25-10-2005 Busgo any hope of linking up with us Cheers Robert World Wide CEO Easyrider Imports www.easyriderimports.com.au Re: Jindy Hook Up - 1hotBUSA - 25-10-2005 There are a couple of good back roads depending on how far down you want to go and how many twisties you want to do. We could come over Brown Mtn or something like that ie head to Goulburn, then out to the coast via Braidwood I think it is, then back inland over the Mtns and into Cooma. This is weather dependant though, if it's like last year then just go the shortest route and get there as soon as possible. Also, the latte warning is out. We are not from Victoria, we are real men of the North. We will not be doing latte stop after latte stop after latte stop. If this is harsh, leave a day earlier, go to Melbourne, and ride up with those guys who will indulge your desire for coffee every 50km. Phuck its the phantom! Re: Jindy Hook Up - 1hotBUSA - 25-10-2005 Nothing wrong at all Rocket with being a coffee conniseur, I prefer my coffee either intravenously or in a big vat. However when you are trying to ride 650km in a day you generally want to get there so you can get coffee supplement.......beer. Too slow this year and the men of the North are going to drink all the beer and all you will have to go to sleep with is a cup of milk and a cookie It's great this fishing isnt it Rod, now just bag militec and you'll get a bite for sure Regards Graham 1hotBUSA 2000 Suzuki Hayabusa Red/Grey Bog standard except for bling and a kanooter valve. Blackzook has been good enough to offer us a bed for Wednesday night so at the moment it is all hinging on where we will be spending Thursday Night! It sounds like there will be a large group leaving Sydney on the Friday so we may just do a day ride Thursday and head down with the convoy. Busgo, mate we will probably be further down the coast by Thursday but coming back to Raymond Terrace sounds like a top idea, great looking place going by the photos. We just need to work out how far up the coast we need to be get back to work on time for Tuesday morning. No worries about stopping for Latte's, we are Queenslanders after all, which i think you will find means beer drinkers when translated! Besides, the problem with Latte's is you need to empty your bladder every half hour or so. Graham, we usually ride for around the one and half, two hour mark or whenever we need to refuel which ever is sooner. Shayne |
