good front end repairer - Vic - slowandsteady - 02-06-2007 Long Story short, I was at a T- intersection today waiting to turn right. Guy coming towards me with left indicator on, slowed down to turn then proceeded to go straight. I'd already started to roll out and went into the side of his car. Broken nose cone, headlight casing, RHS fairing scratches from where it went over and scratches on the front mudguard. The big thing is the front end is now out of wack, with the bars going to the right by @ 5-10 deg when the front wheel is pointing straight. No visible damage to the forks/seals and there is no visible warping, so I'm hoping that the front end has just moved in the triple clamps and needs re-aligning. Can anyone suggest a good place to take the bike to here in Melb, that could do the required farc-up rectification work? Regards, Cameron RE: good front end repairer - Vic - Maj - 02-06-2007 You could probably fix it yourself by loosening the fork clamp bolts and putting it straight . other wise Bob Martin Engineering in Ferntree gully does well with this sort of thing RE: good front end repairer - Vic - RaZz0R - 02-06-2007 that it - thx Maj - couldn't remember his name - great work done by him for mates RE: good front end repairer - Vic - Maj - 02-06-2007 They did a brilliant cut and shut to rake my racebike, very stable .also had a bent auction bike straightened several years ago , it still amazes me how much better than std it was. |
