Just spoke to the Shredder on the phone, he had a bit of a run-in with a truck which broke the nose cone etc yesterday at the gateway\freeway merge at springwood. He said his hand hurt a bit but being a queenslander he kept riding till he got where he was going.
Only when he took his glove off did he notice the end of his finger was mashed. They lopped it off at the second knuckle last night and he will be home this arvo.
Shredder doesn't play silly buggers when he is in the city, only when we are out in the sticks, so he did well to just lose a finger. He has done a lot of advanced rider training in the past and he reckons it was worth every penny.
No doubt he'll update you all very shortly.

That is really bad news. Get that finger back in action soon Shane.
If it was travelling to or from work, it may classify as a workplace injury and therefore compensation may be involved but only if a police report is available.

Feeling like shit today.
I think the only thing that kept me going was the fact i was so pumped up from being pissed off knowing the bike was going to have damage. But when i stopped & got the glove off i knew i was in a bit of trouble. It was a bloody, crushed ,ripped,mangled mess.
I do feel very lucky as it could have been a lot worse.
The bike's only major damage is the nose cone, which will need replacing, & left blinker. The side panel has some scuff marks only.
Now i have 1 like yours bruce
