Super charged vs Turbo charged - Mini-man - 21-05-2007 I did do a search for supercharge on this forum which did return results however in the thread is said that data was lost for this post. I have also seen other post showing busa's with turbos but I am curious about the pros and cons of supercharging. Opinions, thoughts experiences appreciated. RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - CapeBusa - 21-05-2007 Go the supercharger option! I don't know about you but i'd rather be blown than turbo-ed. :2funny: RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - Gnarbunkle99 - 22-05-2007 Suzuki B-King concept bike had a superharged Hayabusa motor. Shame they didn't release the supercharger as a bolt on accessory. RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - Mini-man - 23-05-2007 I was hoping more people would chuck some input into here, have not too many people gone the supercharged route? RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - Dan85 - 23-05-2007 supercharging from what people have said on a few other boards is difficult and time consuming to fit inside the confines of the bike but is alot easier for kit cars etc that they put the motors in. just what ive read tho RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - Maj - 23-05-2007 Mini-man Wrote:I was hoping more people would chuck some input into here, have not too many people gone the supercharged route? I have thought about it but like the turbo's more, pos displacement SC's beat the air up more and create more heat for a given boost, and centrifigal ?? i can't see that there much different to turbo's .. Pos disp are heavier than a turbo. but the ones i have seen pics of on bikes look tidy only needing one of the headers modified to fit , mostly under the fairing ,similar plenum, fuel and engine management requirements. I don't think they would be difficult to build but good ones are not cheap http://www.capa.com.au/prices_vortech.htm RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - Gnarbunkle99 - 23-05-2007 I think yes, not too many have gone the supercharged route. There are a lot of turbocharged busa examples though. You may even be the first one in Oz if you do fit a superchrger. RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - Mini-man - 24-05-2007 I don't think I would be the first to supercharge a busa engine but certainly a first to fit a FWD supercharged busa powered mini. RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - Rev - 24-05-2007 I'm flat out handling what I've got........ Must be a girlie man........  RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - xocet - 24-05-2007 Rev Wrote:I'm flat out handling what I've got........ I read that even the MotoGP bike tyres can only handle a max of 115 Nm of torque before they start slipping. Why would you need more than this on a street bike? Must a super-hyper motard thing. One solution would be to ride in the wet a bit more.... RE: Super charged vs Turbo charged - AntsBuza - 24-05-2007 What about NOS?? Anyone here using it? |
