Weight saving - tenacious - 05-05-2007

Hey guys I was just wondering what the weight saving would be replacing the stock cans (just the cans) with a set of Yoshi RS3 cans.

RE: Weight saving - pan - 05-05-2007

???
I think people say about 9kg??

RE: Weight saving - TheShredder - 05-05-2007

no way pan not just the cans
whole system change is worth about 9.5 to 11.5 kg
on most of the after market systems

RE: Weight saving - DjPete - 06-05-2007

and dont forget to only fill ya tank half.
Gets an unfair advantage all the time...for nix!
Of course not having breakfast also helps but I've never been big on that one...lol

I dont think skipping breakfast is going to help T. You dont get any lighter than 0Kg anyway.

I might save some weight off the bike by changing over to a gsxr-1000.

RE: Weight saving - slowandsteady - 06-05-2007

I'm going bulemic. I reckon the shadow of my arse alone would weigh over 20kg

RE: Weight saving - mybb - 06-05-2007

lol.. if i got down to a proper weight range there would be a 35kg saving.. screw the pissy 9kg you save changing the exhaust..

RE: Weight saving - commando - 10-05-2007

not sure on the weight saving, but i'm interested in the power gain. i have just removed the cans tonite. ready for the ride to work tommorry morn. just to see how much restriction there really is in the stock cans. see if the difference can be felt. i'll get back to you all.

RE: Weight saving - kawasuki - 11-05-2007

Dont let the EPA get u with the cans off ...Scary

RE: Weight saving - Gnarbunkle99 - 11-05-2007

Keep in mind that any difference felt may be due to other factors eg less weight and air/fuel going off.

RE: Weight saving - commando - 11-05-2007

Knuppel2Police stuff the epa.
not to sure if what i felt was an actual power gain, or purely edgrenlen. man it sounds tuffff. no but seriously, it does have more power. can't wait to replace the mid pipes with streight pipe, and streight through cans. cans are in the mail. just need to work on thoes mid pipes.Idiot2Lol2Clap

RE: Weight saving - RaZz0R - 11-05-2007
