Oh well you get that. There is only a small margin in tyres. And I cant give them away. They are selling nicely to a few Bird riders. The Road Attacks seem to be the favoured tyre on the heavier bikes.

Yes and when Continental do a special I will post it.
I bought Metzlers for $299.00 front and rear a few years ago as well. And can still get Shinkos for $300.00 a set. So whats your point. This is the price for Continentals. I dont sell either of the others. If you want them go buy them. No big deal.

Hey Wolfy,
It's a bit unusual to see someone come peddling stuff from a business who gets "attitude" when asked awkward questions by prospective buyers.
Ray,
I'd tell you to go and f*** yourself, if I knew you, or if I wanted Contys, I go anywhere but to someone who says, "If you want them go buy them. No big deal. "They are selling nicely to a few Bird riders" - wrong Birds bloke. We eat those types of birds.

mmm, my last quote for a single rear tyre was 350... corse 3's... mmmm??

RE: Continental Tyres - spamanglenn - 07-04-2007

if you are trying to sell something people aren,t familiar with it has to be made attractive somehow.Often price is used to sway from brand loyalty so the users can tell their mates it is a good product and then the margins can be regained eventually.Being dearer than known tyre brands and models with a take it or leave it attitude, is a waste of everybodies eyesight.this is the 3rd polite suggestions about this, that means niceties have just about runout.

Glenn, Max and Ray,
The guy is just trying to sell tyres at a price he can afford.
You guys are the ones doing the bitching.
If members want to try new tyres, it is their choice whatever the price.

Busgo,
you're coddling him Knuppel2 - tell him to open a can of "toughen up" and get the f*** on with it.

The only reason we're giving him a tough time is because we too have attitude, but we live here, and we give Ray and Glen shit too Coolsmiley but we like them, and the only Birds they have anything to do with, they eat them too!

Just keep selling cheap tyres Wolf. Only the Melbournites and Sydneysiders get cheap tyre deals around here.
Someone is sure to buy em.

The Conti tyres are the equal of anything on the market at the moment. Especially with the Race Attack coming out. But tyres are a personal choice.
The reference to the "Bird" was to parallel the weight issue you guys have and that with the power of a busa, is going to wear tyres out rapidly in some cases. So to tell you of some bikes with similar characteristics using them is a positive. I'm not going to tell you which bike is better. No good saying the missus runs them on her Bandit 250 and loves them. Which she does but useless to you guys.

Anyway, cant dilly dally. I have to go work on my attitude. LMAO

RE: Continental Tyres - spamanglenn - 09-04-2007

I,m open on tyres.People probably want believeable feedback before they take the plunge on $500 plus.Tell us where they are used(racing).Profile (fast or slow turning) etc and compound choices.Currently bridgestone 020 and 014&012,metzeler m3,diablo corsas, avon vipers, pilot powers seem the most popular road tyres.bridestone 002,s,pirelli supercorsa, michelin racetec seem the most popular track/fast road tyres.Where do the continentals fit in this bunch?

RE: Continental Tyres - RaZz0R - 09-04-2007

diablo corsa 3's as well :)
