How many Busa related demerit points do you have.. - demeester - 21-02-2003 Peter posting in the old topics made me think it may be interesting to redo this. Question: How many points have you lost only whilst riding the Busa?None1-34-67-910+Show results Demerit Points - rocket rod 7777 - 21-02-2003 I haven,t lost any points yet as ive only had it a month, but i'm sure if i hang with you Richard i'm bound to rack them up Re: Demerit Points - GDYUP - 21-02-2003 Lost 10 points within 12 months. (And was walking for the next 6 months) I hadn't had a speeding fine for 10 years prior to the 1999 Busa. (Gotta be the bike, eh???) The good news is if I can last another 11 months I get all my points back. But the next 11 months is a long time! I'm very weary of slow moving four wheel drives. Ride safe and live long. Regards Phil. Demerits - rev 01 - 21-02-2003 None , zilch, zero, a few in the CAR, how embarassment(aplologies to K Mole) My last bike ticket must have been back in the 70's & even then it was a set up coming home from Bathurst blah blah blah Lucky ? yep but I use a different mind set when I'm on the bike. I say to myself, self, they are out to get you & your bikie mates so be wary & don't over contribute to the Bracks slush fund Points!!! - SubRX - 24-02-2003 The real embarassment is being done for 72 in a 60 zone on a Bus. Interesting to note though. I was informed on the weekend, that the NSW speed cameras only operate up to 235k's. Not quite sure how accurate this is, don't exactly think the trial and error method is the way to go, but it does make you think. Having said that, I did pass one the other day on the highway at 268 (by the time I hit the brakes) , there was no flash, but he was on the opposite side of the road. The guys in the ball wagon on my side just stood there in shock and aspiration. Question, was it really prudent for me to wave??? Regards, ride safe. Bye for now, Dave. Re: Points!!! - Scott W - 25-02-2003 I only have 3 at the moment, and would you believe Richard I got them whilst driving my Toyota 4WD! Re: Points!!! - demeester - 25-02-2003 cop on a busa??? Re: Points!!! - GDYUP - 25-02-2003 Now that's funny Richard. Good to see you have'nt lost your sense of humour. Cheers Phil. Re: Points!!! - Scott W - 27-02-2003 Nice comeback Richard. Re: Points!!! - rev 01 - 27-02-2003 268 ? Hmmmmmmmmm........ just snicking into fifth gear lost points - hyabusa - 04-03-2003 Well it seems that there are not to many of you out there that have had the unpleasant feeling of not having a licence. I have been on the road since the age of 16 1/2 with a road bike and i have never lost a single point, I am now 31 and in the last two years have lost my licence on two seperate occasions, before that i recieved several warnings on the busa but it seems that I can't do a thing on this bike without being caught . well I have my licence back now and plan to try and keep this one. The judge said that I'd be walking for a long time if I loose another licence. Lost points - rocket rod 7777 - 04-03-2003 The biscuit heads say that it is our privillage and not our right to ride/drive on their roads. BULLSHIT! I think with all the road/petrol/fines/insurance/stamp duties/licences.....whatever,TAXES, THAT I THINK WE PAY OUR WAY AND THEREFORE IT BECOMES A RIGHT!Not a f#@king privilage.:"> points - hyabusa - 07-03-2003 i agree it is a right to ride / drive we do pay for it and look at the roads near you i bet that there are some nearby that need alot of work and where in the hell is the 47c p/L the goverment gets going????? as well as the fines and rego and tax on tyers plus all the other parts that we buy for the bikes and cars this should also be put into the roads. the better and safer the road the fast we would be able to go. just my say Max. |
