Re: RE:New busa colour - Fox - 29-01-2003

Here's a BIG desktop picture of the 'Jaffa' as someone here christened it. www.motorcycle.com/mo/mcs...x1300r.jpg

I must say I like the black frame ..

However we may not see this in Oz ..it seems the 'Anniversary' is American.
........
American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) today announced three special edition anniversary model motorcycles to commemorate American Suzuki Motor Corporation's 40th year of business in the United States.

Beginning this spring, Suzuki dealers will begin retailing a limited number of 40th Anniversary versions of the top-selling GSX-R600, Hayabusa GSX1300R), and Intruder Volusia (VL800). Each model will have a special American Suzuki 40th Anniversary emblem mounted on the upper triple clamps, plus other features you can see at The Suzuki Website

"We are really proud of how far we've come over the past four decades, and we feel these special models are a great way to recognize our accomplishments," states Mel Harris, executive vice president of ASMC's motorcycle/ATV and marine divisions. "By continually introducing innovative, high quality products we've been able to grow our business over the years and become an industry leader in a number of market segments."

American Suzuki Motor Corporation was chartered in the state of California in 1963. The Company's Motorcycle Division was established one year later to oversee the importation and distribution of Suzuki motorcycles in the United States. In a short period of time, Suzuki established itself as one of the major brands in the rapidly expanding motorcycle marketplace, due to Suzuki's new model innovations, its response to customer needs and the reliability of its products. American Suzuki Motor Corporation markets and distributes Suzuki, motorcycles, ATVs, outboard motors, and automobiles through its network of over 1,800 dealers across the United States. American Suzuki Motor Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan.

lollybusa - Heidi1 - 17-02-2003

There is one of these getting around Canb. Originally I thought the bloke who owns it had some of the orange Holden paint left over, but now I am not so sure.

At the risk of bagging a Canb bus owner, it does look a little bit funny.

Re: lollybusa - C130Puck - 18-02-2003

When I first saw the color I thought it was ugly, but it has started to grow on me.
I kind of like it.

Here is a pic...

orange - Heidi1 - 18-02-2003

It is very distinctive.

Re: orange - demeester - 19-02-2003

I like it. I agree, it grows on ya. If I get one, I'll swap the headers with you, Volvi.

Re: orange - imagunna - 19-02-2003

This orange model only shows on U.S. Web. as 40 th anniversary gimmick so does any body know if Suzuki Aus. has any intention of bringing it in here?
Guess it would be some shiny irredescent paint job if and when it does arrive. Sooner have two silvers myself ,but they aren't anniversary models are they. How long has Suzuki been in Aus. ( Might do a recall on frames to celebrate ).
