changing the paint scheme - rob - 16-02-2007

hi all, following a recent accident whereby a car rammed into the arse of my busa- leaving it horrifically scarred- i am changing the paint scheme.

this is what it looked like prior to becoming infected with some gravel rash.

Have a fairly good idea of what i will be changing it too, but just want some opinions:

IF YOU HAD $5000 TO ALLOCATE ON A PAINT JOB WHAT COLOUR/DESIGN WOULD YOU GET?

What colour do you think i will be getting?

cheers

Re: changing the paint scheme - Volvi - 16-02-2007

Id spend $500 touching up existing paintwork and put $4500 in my pocket then perhaps book a nice cruise for singles and paint all the available chiks with body colour. Howz Dat?

Re: changing the paint scheme - RaZ80 - 16-02-2007

Volvi - I have to agree thats a unreal idea - however I'd just change the body paint to choc body paint so I can lick it off after

depends what colours ya like dude. red/silver would look good "Busa riders always count in three's.... 100, 200, 300"

I like what you already got Rob.
A mate in Sydney has a TL with a similar paint job too...

Ide paint it black and spend the rest on go fast bits or more bling.
Back in black!

Re: changing Rob's paint scheme - Xhiler8r - 16-02-2007

I would trade it in and buy a new 1 cause man that is one bent and unlucky Busa you have there buy the all black 07 and you and your wife will be happy Cheers

I feel your hurt dude, got rear end shunted the other day. As long as you can get insurance to cover the $ outlay thats fine, otherwise I wouldn'tbother.

Re: changing Rob's paint scheme - rob - 17-02-2007

all valid opinions thanks guys-
unfortunately my missus doesn't like the cruise idea
and i want something that stands out in a crowd- so black is out of the race.
Bill- i don't think anyone would want to buy my busa, given its luck so far.
Actually i did change my idea after reading your posts, so thanks.
See brainstorming is good....

Can't wait to see the finished product.

cheers

Re: changing Rob's paint scheme - rev 01 - 17-02-2007

Painting it any other colour than stock reduces it's resale value & tips off potential buyers to accident damage

If that's not an issue for you go ahead paint it RED/BLACK
