Re: handlebar risers - gazza414 - 16-12-2003

In the USA--they're called Helibars--- roughly cost from $125US up

Or the spacers you can have machined up yourself

Ping Franko!!! might be able to help

Bar Risers - OhzOne - 17-12-2003

Get 4 spacers machined out of 30mm aluminium bar, with a 10mm hole down the centre, then get 4 allen head bolts same thread and dimensions as the stock, but 30mm longer (optional, paint the heads silver),
take out the old, lift the plate slip in the new, use the original nuts but blue locktight them on, use a small dab of silicon sealer to the top caps, so they won't vibrate out, should cost between $30 to $50 and works a treat
P.S check none of the cables around the headstock are too tight, they will need to be loosened

Re: Bar Risers - rocket rod 7777 - 17-12-2003

I dont find the height of them that much a problam, its just the reach over the humungas tank, must be built for apes!

Re: Bar Risers - Wily E C - 17-12-2003

G`day Ray

Yeah,I`ve had the riser thingys on for about 12mths now and simply wouldn`t go back to the standards now (bit spoilt u c)
I think they really are shit-hot!!!

Less weight on your wrists..back straightens..neck straightens..so what`s wrong with being a little comfy,huh?

...and as the boyz have mentioned, you can machine them up yourself...but if you`re like me and your mechanical skills are limited to bolting on bought jobbies...then check out the site for:- Australian Motorcycle Components www.amcmotorcycles.com Ph.02 96349333

Cheers
Franko

PS: They come in two sizes
19mm (which I have) and 37mm
With the 19mm , `NO`adjustment for cables and hoses are necessary and you have plenty of fairing clearance BUT that may not be the case for the 37mm.
I think from memory they`re about $400 (real good quality tho)
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Well i have them fitted (Helibars) transformed my busa, what a difference it makes, I am a tall guy and the helibars let me corner and steer much better and of course the riding position is great I will get some pics or you can have a look at the site on
