My front wheel has started spewing rusty crap. Now I am told that the busa front wheel bearings are quite susceptible to retaining water and rusting out. Keep an eye on yours, guys.

Hey Dee, how many k's on your front wheel, original oem wheel bearings aren't greased packed that well. Even aftermarket wheel bearings are still pretty shitty.
I recently replaced my front bearings with aftermarket ones and took off the seals (like i always do) and packed the f*** out of them. As usual they where only about 1/4 of the way greased. You must remove both seals of the bearing to grease it properly.
There should be a small little notch on each edge of the seals. something like a pocket knife should be able to pop it out.

That's not to bad Richard.
My 99 Cheesecake Chariots front wheel bearings only lasted about 20,000 klms. No wonder it used to vibrate over 200 and the front wheel wouldn't balance after I fitted a new tyre.
Mine were rusted out too. Must have been a bad batch of cheddar...

If you change them yourself Richard, it is essential to push in the left one first, I have just polished my wheels and replaced the bearings, so I know this for a fact (it's in da manual!!)
The bearings are an off the shelf item, at about $8 each with dual seals just go to your local bearing dealer.
Oh and if you do the rear, you have to do the right one first and they are not off the shelf, get them from your Suzuki Dealer as they have a special clearance rating.

Does that include making the bed and putting our dirty clothes in the wash basket?
I had to replace my rear wheel bearings after only 16,000 k's, no problem with the front though.

I think my rear wheel bearings might be on the way out too.When i lean her over in corners the back end feels all wishy washy,bit like the old kwaka thou ,could also be that the rear tyre is rooted,have to check it out!I've got 51,000 on the clock now.
