Re: True champion - Max - 19-04-2004

Was that the best effort you've ever seen? Just fantastic.

Re: True champion - rev 01 - 19-04-2004

One of the best races I've seen. This bloke is a wizard & they're saying he's the best of all time. I just like the way he races in the tight going in alway's having an answer to any challenge, anywhere, anytime, that's what champions are made of & The Doctor has it in spades.

That Yamaha looks to be perfectly balanced & wasn't moving around at all, my TAB season bet is off to the perfect start

Re: True champion - rocket rod 7777 - 19-04-2004

This man is a freak! He has proven to everybody just how good he is.There is no excuses now,he has proven that it is not the bike but the rider that is more important.Didnt see any other yamahas up there with him. .I think ducati will be getting a big fat check book out for him when he is done with yamaha. He is without doubt the ultimate riding machine, and also a mention to his fantasic crew, they must really know their stuff!

Re: True champion - ac boosa - 19-04-2004

sad thing is he will prob be lured over to F1 next year. hope not though. great cure for amnesia - watching an F1 race. I think Biaggi might have him at the faster tracks though unless Yamaha finds some more HP. (I suggest putting a Busa motor in the thing)

Re: chicken counting - ressac - 19-04-2004

Rossi a legend? Definitely. BUT, that track at Welkom is pretty bumpy and a very technical track (where was Repsol?) Only the big names need apply for that bad boy (not big name teams). I'm inclined to agree with ac on this, when the easier tracks come around mister max may stop wingeing like a toddler and start grinning. I doubt Rossi's riding technique can put hp into an engine.

Pity about the desmosedici's, I wouldn't mind seeing more of Bayliss having a go a Rossi. I thought Ducati's bike was supposed to be faster this year? -385-

Re: True champion - wayneb60 - 19-04-2004

didn,t see the race but glad rossi won he is a rider no
doudt about it lets see if he can keep winning

Re: True champion - rocket rod 7777 - 19-04-2004

I think that Rossi will go to F1 later in his career,he is still a lad and there is plenty of racing in him yet.As for Biaggi as long as Rossi rides he will always be 2nd fiddle.Sure the Yamaha is not as quick as the Honda, but hey its only early days yet and he still won on it!Come on nutsack a good rider on a reasonable bike will always beat a reasonable rider on a good bike and thats the bottom line.........cause stone cold says so!

Re: True champion - GSXR1000 - 21-04-2004

Rossi may well be the best of all time, but didnt Mick just bugger off from Biaggi all the time? I think Biaggi can keep with Rossi most (read as most) of the time, but rarely could keep on Mick's tail.
