Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - ressac - 13-04-2004 Where do you wnat to go for the convention?TasmaniaAlice SpringsSnowy MountainsBroken Hill/Bathurst/Dubbo (West NSW)My missus won't let me ride anyway...Show results -385- XOCET Re: Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - foddder2002 - 13-04-2004 Ressac this is a good idea Now the place that end;s up with the most vote's thats where we go Black & Blue Busa's Rule Re: Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - demeester - 13-04-2004 I don't think we should be that simplistic, foddder, cause a lot may vote who never turn up. But I think it is good for stimulating discussion Also some options (like having it in the Snowy's but only if we combine it with the GP at the Island) are not considered. I think we need to start talking "when" and then those that think they "will" should talk "where"... Re: Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - Maj750t - 13-04-2004 Also when as i wouldn't be too keen on riding in tassy mid winter or Alice in january, no sense of adventure i guess! Re: Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - Volvi - 13-04-2004 I take it Snowys is Jindabyne and area, if so thats what I voted for. Re: Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - foddder2002 - 13-04-2004 Yes I know Richard but If someone make's a stand we might get some where with it. Like Rod said where not going to please everybody. Black & Blue Busa's Rule Re: Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - bigshowbusa - 13-04-2004 There is a boat from Sydney direct to Tassie yeah? How is that too far?? Sounds like one hell of a day / night party to me... If it ends up in NSW and I can't do a track day at the creek at the same time I'll throw a bigshow tantrum Re: Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - bigshowbusa - 13-04-2004 further re: NSW if I was to get a ticket up there (and I've heard they're not exactly shy or cheap either) the tantrum will rival... not popcorning just predicting what will happen... Re: Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - rocket rod 7777 - 13-04-2004 Your right Bigshow, that is the other great attraction of Tassie, once you get out of the major cities there are no oinkers to get in your hair, open slather. Well i voted Tassie, but if its too far for you bannana benders,or Sydneyites, then i guess jynderbine, snowys would be my second pic.Bathurst,Orange,Tamworth or Broken Hill......what the f*** is there?????? Re: Annual Hayabusa Convention (destination) - Scott W - 13-04-2004 Quote:I think we need to start talking "when" and then those that think they "will" should talk "where"... Well said Richard. I have not voted in this nor made any comment on the topic on the original thread because my interest will be purely determined by when this thing is. If I can make the dates that are decided, I will go almost regardless of where it is. If I can't make the dates I won't be going even if it is in Victoria. Unfortunately that's the downside of weekend work. Where to go for the convention. - 1hotRF - 13-04-2004 Hey, I love the idea of a busa convention, and will be riding one by the time late 2004 comes around. Just my observations. I'm guessing we are talking about an annual convention here ie something that will happen every year. Therefore IMHO we should let the poll decide the first one, I mean unless we stick it in Perth, somebody will have to ride further than everybody else. Then after we have had one, we can then decide to hold it in a different area on the been there - done that theory. If people are looking to go in late 2004, maybe we should look at tying in with the Snowy Ride, which is on the 13th November 2004. Otherwise people may feel that two big trips in a short period of time would be a lost cause. Lastly, if there is anything I can do to help, please sing out. I work rotating shift which means I have time off during the week, therefore I can ring people, do e mailing etc, and many hands make light work. Once I get the Busa I'll be going for full membership in the club as you are all a great bunch of people, and I look forward to meeting you all one day. Well, that's my 10c worth. Lets all work together to make this happen. regards Graham 1hotRF Re: Where to go for the convention. - rocket rod 7777 - 13-04-2004 Yeah ,i thought of the honda snowy ride too, trouble is accommidation, every man and his dog will be after it! Re: Where to go for the convention. - Max - 13-04-2004 In which case we would have to book very soon, so numbers would have to be firm and and and...have we even decided where yet??? Max I'm really looking forward to this - if we can ever decide where and when! Madmax - GSX1300R Black and Blue Buses Rule Good Bike, Good Woman, Good Road, Good Weather, Good God - Good Bye! Smith and Wesson - The original point and click interface. Poll Decision - 1hotRF - 13-04-2004 Maybe Rod we should have a cut off date for the poll, say the end of next week, or ANZAC Day even, then after that we accept the result and go where the poll says we go. (Vote people) It's looking like Snowies in the poll at the moment, but the only time that anybody is there for accomodation is the snowy ride, so it would have to be then. Downsides, the accomodation, upsides is the extra publicity that we could get by being involved with 2150 other bikers. Again, my offer stands, any help you need, drop me a line. Graham 1hotRF Re: Poll Decision - RaZ80 - 14-04-2004 hehehe, can't wait for this either, Cole will be done with my bike by this as well |
