Kevlar Carbon Epoxy fuel tank - Haemaglobin - 05-10-2005 Been talking with a guy from Frozzie's about a new tank for the Busa. He has come up with this jobby. Its a Kevlar Carbon Epoxy fuel tank, guaranteed leak proof and ding resistant (the epoxy is a material with a memory apparently). Weighs in at only 2kg and comes primed ready for painting. Price he is asking is $1890 (pretty sure thats delivered too). Which is more than a Standard busa tank, but is still pretty good considering. The guys name is Didier and can be found here: FROZZIE CONNECTIONS Quality Products & Services 21 Napier Street Goonellabah NSW 2480 Phone: +61 2 8300 5339 Fax: +61 2 6625 2463 Mobile: 0425 235 339 email: frozzie@akwaba.net Visit: frozzie.com He has been a real big help, I initially called him up asking about CF tanks and he has really gone out of his way to find this one for me, even though he knows I may not buy it. He also has some other CF gear and some really nice looking tails (I got some piccys but cant be bothered posting them, hehe). If I dont buy a new Busa, Ill be buying one of these tanks to help do up my current one, still undecided on what to do so far...but I wanted to post this for Didier as he has been such a huge help and I know you guys would be interested. Cheers Re: Kevlar Carbon Epoxy fuel tank - gazza414 - 05-10-2005 Wont be selling many at that price mate. Plenty in the USA alot cheaper. Cheers, Kawasuki Which Tank - gazza414 - 08-10-2005 Your MONEY after all Edited by: Gazza414 at: 8/10/05 9:44 am Re: Tanks - Haemaglobin - 08-10-2005 So Gazza, are there any tank like this one I initially posted about? Your link is for a CF tank and I agree with Kawasuki, not too keen on that one. If there are others around cheaper Im interested. But this one doesnt compare IMO...especially if Kawa is right and its $1700 anyway, easier to pay another $200 and get it here. Re: Which Tank - Haemaglobin - 09-10-2005 well yeah, it is. But you said there are others available cheaper and Im interested in seeing them. If there are others cheaper then im all for buying one. Are there any others around? If so can you provide links so we can check them out? |
