300+ club - rocket rod 7777 - 05-09-2005 Heres another topic to go with DJs falling off one. Ok how many times have you seen 300+km/h and how many years have you had the busa? Ok ill start the ball rolling, ide had my busa for just under 2 years and managed the 300+ twice, both times in tassie. However i had this straight that was out the back blocks ,it was 2 km long and i used to see 280 constantly,at least once a week. Phuck its the phantom! 300+ club - Saracen - 05-09-2005 Rod, 2 1/2 years and only the once. I started to imagine what would happen if the engine ceased or I blew a tyre, definately makes you feel alive and very mortal Re: 300+ club - pan - 05-09-2005 10 months and twice, though I was on a Jumbo jet going to and from London (without the Busa). Does that count? "sometimes, crime does pay" Re: 300+ club - Saracen - 05-09-2005 Only if you were wearing you helmet and leathers Re: 300+ club - Djpete - 05-09-2005 240 best i've seen and that was fine. just because u buy a bus doesn't mean u have to use all that top end...on the road anyway...i mean as rocket has said not many places u can really do it. (safely) there are lots of other great things about the bus. accelleration, stability, torque, slipperyness, looks, blingability etc etc Cheers, Pete Mobile Dj, Web Design, Photography, Bullshit Artist? Now the "Test Track" With a speedo healer fitted: 100 speedo actual 100 on a laser 200 speedo actual 200 on a laser 320 speedo actual 317 laser 305 speedo 5th gear on rev limiter 325 speedo actual 321 laser on rev limiter in top with standard gearing. But sorry only 110 on the road !!! Stewie Mac Edited by: Breharna at: 5/9/05 5:12 pm Re: 300+ club - CAS3234 - 05-09-2005 I have had my Busa about 4 and a half years. I have seen an indicated 325kph on the M4 freeway. I have had it over 300kph more than 60 times on that same road, and over 300 on a dozen or more other good roads. I have found it easier to do these kind of speeds late at night, after 2am, when there are no cars around. And at 300 you catch up to them f**king fast. That said, I have stopped rideing like this on public roads. I have had too many friends killed from stupid mistakes that were made at speeds alot slower than what I have done. I know take it out to the drag strip, and maybe next year I might go and check out the dry lake seen. If I ride home from the drags I ride at about 100-110kph on the freeway home as I have gotten all the agro out, I also know that I can blow the doors off just about any street vehicle (shut up Leonard ) I have found that I love the feeling of cruizing, it's more relaxing, and I am not looking out for cops. Dave Re: 300+ club - Volvi - 05-09-2005 260, 280 plenty but 300 indicated just the once, i just love that monington peninsula freeway on the way back in....cops love it too, oh 6 yrs on the busa, reckon id qualify for wooss grade. but then I still got my license so may be worth being a wooss. getting more paranoid as I get older re cops everywhere. Disclaimer: all the above mentioned speeds are pure bullshit, just the brag factor. I never speed your honor, its against the law isnt it? Re: 300+ club - 1hotBUSA - 05-09-2005 Not yet!!!!!!! Got mighty close though. Have thought about having a go on the M4 at 2am but the risk.....well just the thought that at night anything can happen and you're toast. And if you go past plod at 2am, he's bored so he's gonna wanna chase. I would do it heading away from Penrith towards Sydney, more opportunities to get off the thing in the event of hot pursuit. Re: 300+ club - Djpete - 05-09-2005 ohhhhhhhhh we were talking about on the track top speeds ...how stupid of me...well that's different...(pig! I mean that in the nicest way Bre... ) 300+ club - Blackkat - 05-09-2005 275 km/h (170mph) on the 1/4mile (still accellerating after timing mark) Goal for next year 320km/h on the 1/4 Dont go much for top speed on the road these days (family needs me around). But in my youth woo who!!!!! Like Cas said "get it out of the system at the track" best thing is there are witnesses and time cards to backup your claim. Leonard Re: 300+ club - Maj750t - 05-09-2005 Re: 300+ club - gforce1300 - 05-09-2005 2 bad the 01 model and up wont go to 300 , had my bike 5 years and seen 300 about 4 times, fastest 315,fark that again, (god bless the copper hayabusa) Re: 300+ club - hayabusa - 05-09-2005 I would estimate the 340 mark a couple of times. |
