Yee bloody ha Shredder runs an 8 sec pass - the shredder 3 - 04-09-2005

Hey guys
Yee bloody ha how pumped am I .
After a few month battle trying to tame my turbo
I finally ran my first 8 sec pass last night, then backed it up.
It was the worst meet I've ever been to, delays all night for one thing or another .The conditions were shit but I come home happy.

Go You Good Thing - Fat Busa Racing 1347 - 04-09-2005

Smoking, It's about time some one from up in Qld on a turbo

could go toe to toe with those Sydney boys. How were your

runs, smoth or out of control, are you on a sticky micky,

or slick or "standard" road ruber

What weight are you and your bike with all your race gear on

Have you had a look at the scales at Willow Bank.

Do you think that your MPH is down a little, I only ask because

Tim Mclure ( I think that's his name ) on the A/SB Busa

went 9.20@157mph at the Winter's

Sounds like there is still some more in it

Keep the BOOST UP. F#!king awsome

The runs were go didnt even feel quick.
I was using a M.T shoot out tyre but I do run a shinko.
Yeah the mph was down a little I have run a best of 160.66

I dont know what the bike weighs but it all fatory with
the turbo extra & longer swing arm.
I'm about 112kg fully suited.

Sub 8's @ 160mph> With all these new age bikes going faster

and faster A N D R A will have to take notice of the wave of

quick bikes that are on the way up

Leonard.

New age bikes! - Blackkat - 04-09-2005

Fat Busa,

Actually these are the current age bikes, the new age bikes (1st one is about 3 months off) will be pushing into the 7's at 180+ mph.
(around 4 being built in SYD).

I think that is when Andra will start noticing.(we have been warned already about streetmeets and levels of E.T.)

Leonard.

8 sec club - Fat Busa Racing 1347 - 04-09-2005

Bkackat, I know were your comming from. It will take ANDRA

that long to catch up. You can't race a bike as good as the

Shred's bike in group 2 bloody shame, how long has EFI been

around in the car and bike industry at least 15 years but they

only just let in for the cars in gr2. We have to wait untill they

let us use it ( don't hold your breath ).

Something has to change.................soon

Re: Go You Good Thing - aBUSa - 04-09-2005

Congratulations Shane

It was awesome seeing the numbers come up, at first I thought it was a bad reaction time, a smooth run, looked more like a sunday ride. The crowd was certainly happy to see the run after such a shitty night he was having

Fat,
Timothy Mc Clure from WA runs 9.3 @153 on a 1397 stroker motor with 220-240 HP and about a 80lb weight advantage.

Re: Re: Go You Good Thing - 1hotBUSA - 04-09-2005

Top effort mate, well done. Believe me the party will be huge if I ever do an 8 second run. Even the 9 second run will be warranting a night on the turps I think.

Bill, what is membership criteria for secret mods club. There is a bit of a "movement" going on down here in Sydney too.
