Cooling leathers - rocket rod 7777 - 08-07-2005 Dont know if anybody heard about this at the last GP,but its an interesting concept.Just wondering when someone will design an air conditioned helmet too?????? www.gizmag.com.au/go/4234/ Phuck its the phantom! Re: Cooling leathers - rev 01 - 08-07-2005 Gibbernowandthen had one at Qatar. Leathers are expensive enough as it is without some softcock aircon gizmo. Why not go the whole hog & get a cage ? Get a cage... - GDYUP - 08-07-2005 Come on get with the program. Cod pieces with ice packs will be next... Cooling is the least of the Vic riders worries at the moment! The winther thaw is the biggest worry! Then the fugen winter wobblers will be out there creating the mobile chicanes again! Cheers, Riding not Hibernating Re: Get a cage... - rev 01 - 08-07-2005 I think I saw your next bike today BMW K1200S (The fabled & long awaited "Busa Beater") Comes with heated hand grips & other soft little pee wee accoutrements ad nauseum I sat on it & it felt like I was sitting on either a marshmellow or a bag of wheat, not sure which. Salesman very keen to have a busa traded in & on the floor. Quote...." busa ? yeah good cheap fun, only get what you pay for blah blah etc " Dunno how you beat a 1300 on a 1200 although power isn't everything is it Rocket ? At $27,000 I'm tipping those legendary Busa Beaters will be gathering dust, not busa scalps Busa beater............ - GDYUP - 08-07-2005 Me on a BMW? Not in your life time I like a few creature comforts, but gimmi a break! Next Busa beater will be another Busa! I reckon Maj750t has the answer. I just need the I'd be happy to punt around town with 240 RWHP and around 6 lbs boost. I'm not greedy. It might be fun in Eliz st in the morning. I hear they're giving Honda's away cheap at the moment... I'll wait for the 06 limited edition/upgrade beater. Adjustable butter churn fuel pump, wave rotor dip stick and nickel plated tyre valve covers just to name a few... Re: Busa beater............ - rev 01 - 09-07-2005 For what it's worth I copped some headlight flashes going down bulla hill Friday arvo, just near where your mate got pinged !! Sure enough, radar parked up the road where they had the blitz Must piss em off big time when you chuff past @ 60 astride the old excocet missile Poofta's - GDYUP - 09-07-2005 It's like a f*&^ing licence to print there! No safety factor involved just revenue! Glad you didn't add to the coffers. Did you see the on the way home from Cleo's? Just before I made the home straight. Glad I was momentarily stuck behind a tin lid... Cheers, Re: Poofta's - rev 01 - 09-07-2005 Yeah well everybody boots it to get up the hill, I've whistled around THAT corner a few times but not anymore Didn't see the other night Re: Poofta's on BMW's - GO 300 - 10-07-2005 Well I guess this is where I put my hand up .... I'm glad my Bm's got a fairing, especially on those zero degree mornings out here in the eastern suburbs - or when the rain starts trying to pry into your seams ... I'm glad it has a bit extra comfort in the seating position - otherwise my 250,000kms on her would have been a lot less enjoyable. And with 250,000 approaching I've had to replace the clutch plates and a coil and a couple of clutch cables and .... no that's it. The Busa wins hands down but I couldn't live on it like I do the BM - and it would cost me a lot more I reckon. Now when I turn up at Cleo's on it you will know who to bag ... 2Bob Re: Poofta's on BMW's - rocket rod 7777 - 10-07-2005 Listen here you bloody thread stealers ,the topic was about new innovations, not bloody what your next bike might be or where the cops are or who rides a bloody BMW. Get you own thread. Phuck its the phantom! Re: Poofta's on BMW's - rev 01 - 10-07-2005 Maybe we should start a thread for Honda Club rejects ? Poofta's on Honda's - GDYUP - 10-07-2005 Or would be's that once owned the bragging rights to a Busa... Re: Poofta's on Honda's - rev 01 - 12-07-2005 OK stop stuffing around GDY & get back to the thread They've already designed an airconditioned helmet Rocket, it's called the "open face " Just thought I'd clear that up thread - GO 300 - 12-07-2005 well well - a little touchy Rockett?? It seems the thread finished - we were keeping it alive because we care. A lay down and a BEX might be in order. I have my own cooling system - I ride in Victoria. 2Bob Re: thread - rocket rod 7777 - 12-07-2005 Well this thread was about new innovations originally i thought.I didnt write it for people to add on to,i wrote it because i actually thought some people might be a little interested in new technology thats all.As far as a bex and a lie down, well thats about the same as riding a beemer isnt it?
