hey im flying into sydney sometime in the next few days to pick up my new bike. is there l;ike a train or something that goes from the airport to Elderslie which apparently is near camden? cheers. Dirty Dan For Life

Dan i had to go up there a few weeks ago trust me if its not far away from airport catch a cab there trains a crap i thought melbourne ones were bad save the and go a cab. THE WARRIOR

It's 60km's from the airport to Elderslie according to www.whereis.com.au so thats going to make for one pretty expensive cab ride. A train ride out there is going to take you several hours one way and I don't think your going to be real close to Elderslie as there isnt a station there.......maybe Bargo or Camden but you would still have to get a cab from there. I don't think your going to find to many cabs around them parts. Might have to ask someone on the board if they can pick you up and drive you out there for a beer or two

Dan,
Elderslie is just up the road from me (2 mins). Depending on when you are coming in I might be able to pick you up from the airport SKSA, domestic I presume. Otherwise, you catch the train from the domestic terminal to Leumeah, Campbelltown or Macarthur, ring me and I'll pick you up from there. Only about 15 mins away.

Spoke to Dan earlier he his coming in at Mascot domestic around 5.30pm next Thursday, he has a few options now..

If all else fails, I could always pick it up for him, ride it home to his place, ride it back to my place, because I live here, not there, then go and pick him up from the airport, take him back to my place to pick up his steed and he could be on his way.

Bags not picking him up from the airpor at 5.30pm on a Thursday arvo to head along the carpark to Camden...he'd get here 3 times quicker by walking and not have to pay the toll for the privilege of not going aywhere.
I suggest catch the train Dan and get a lift from the station, it's a fair bet that I won't be around the airport area that late.

hey guys sorry it took a while to reply i dfont have the net at home at the moment. i only jsut realised about the peakl hour thing..........CRAP ok might have to try catch an earlier flight. i was basically thinking about catching a train or bus to liverpool and taking a taxi from there. thanks alot guys ill find out more this arvo when i go in to book a flight and will let you all know. Hi Dan Sorry I can't help on the day as I am busy all next week, but here is some info if you are resolved to catching a train and bus or taxi option.
For train time tables go to
www.cityrail.nsw.gov.au/timetable/index
then click on the green link 'townhall to McArthur via airport'.
Look at getting off at Campbelltown as this is the closest Station to Elderslie that offers Bus and taxi.
