New brakes, diving forks... - Slong - 20-10-2004

Well, my brakes have been absolutely woeful since messing up the front end and it finally got sussed out - the brake pads getting a good drenching of fork oil being a likely culprit.

So I got some new brake pads put on a better compound and it's like I've never had brakes before, these things feel like they haul! They're like, 100X better than what I had before [basically nothing].

The front end seems to take a dive as soon as I bring the brakes on, seems a bit too much... I'll be sticking some cable ties on the forks to see what sort of travel there is on them. How many clicks out are you guys using [I weigh 80KGs]?
