Staintune or Megacycle pipes? - BBlue Silver - 14-09-2006

G'Day, I am ready to get a set of pipes for my 04 Busa.
I am now deciding between the Megacycle and the Staintune pipes. (twin pipes)

I can get either one for $1000.00
Which on is the loudest (deepest noise)?
What do you acually get with each pipe. Do you get the cans plus the extra pipe that goes down to about the belly pan?

Any infomation appreciated. Edited by: BBlue Silver at: 14/9/06 5:08 pm

1000 bucks is good for the Staintunes!

You only get the two cans and baffles (inside the cans). The mid pipe (from the can to the belly pan) stays the same.

Don't know about the other pipes...

Same with the megacycles (i.e. just the cans). Always been pleased with mine, and have always preferred the twin pipes for a more balanced look.

Carbon fibre or polished?

Same thing, different state.Staintunes are more well known and would probably resell better.Carbon cans are less barky and give a warmer note but need repacking as they use fibreglass packing instead of stainless steel packing on the stainless cans.stainless cans are louder at part throttle due to the better sound absorbing qualities of fibreglass at low frequencies in the carbon can.I,ve had both its just personal preference really. Thanks for the inputs,

Staintunes is the way I am going then.

Thanks.
