it's a micro switch in the lever so theoretically if you bridge them it should give signal that clutch lever is depressed permanently.

Thanks for the reply. Will this be a problem if I go this way instead of using a banjo switch.

I recently had my ECU flashed and on the paperwork I see that there is a setting that effects max revs in neutral and also with the clutch engaged, or at least that's what I think it means.
Therefore I gather that the clutch switch sends some kind of a signal to the ECU.
I only mention this as I was thinking that the switch may or may not effect other functions.

I am happy to stand corrected but I think the clutch switch sets the bike into an idle map which would not provide correct fueling or timing for the bike in gears 1 to 6

Yep low power setting
How do you go with electrics ? you can wire the clutch switch to parallel the starter circuit ,
with a relay receiving a signal from the starter button and closing the clutch switch , then the rest of the starter stuff works as normal
