ROAD - Shordy - 26-06-2015 As I've done a lot of overtime and interstate trips lately, I have rewarded myself by taking a couple of days off. I got up this morning, flicked the telly on, and to my surprise, crap on every channel. Now being an ultra tech savvy kinda guy, I managed to push every button on my remote until the now seldom seen extra free channels appeared on my smart tv. I went into the SBS ON DEMAND channel and found a show that looked interesting called "ROAD". Now some people may have heard or seen this doco before, but if you haven't, make a point of finding and watching it. It revolves around the "Dunlop" family in Ireland and their motorcycle racing. It goes through their racing achievements as well as there family lives, ultimately showing the dangers of road racing with the deaths of some of them and their friends and colleagues. I was glued to the screen for the last 1 1/2 hours and I couldn't resist posting this to let others know. It has it highs and lows, and reminds us all that we are mortal. It's a must see. RE: ROAD - kozzo - 27-06-2015 Yes the dunlop family..really push it to the edge dont they RE: ROAD - Big Rob - 27-06-2015 RE: ROAD - Pix - 28-06-2015 I've seen it on good old Apple TV, it's a great doco! And I was glued to it as well.... RE: ROAD - Big Rob - 28-06-2015 Just finished watching it, what an amazing doco, and so tragic! |
