I find my boots tend to interfere with some changes...just not pushing the lever firm enough. I may adjust the little rod to make it easier for the boot tip to get fully under the shifter....or I may just ignore it...or wear sandles/thongs LOL!

I agree with Steve as in have you adjusted foot levers to suit you? I had to drop the relative gear lever about 8mm in total to help stop false neutral between 5th and 6th... There is a slight increase in gear lever action as you go up in the gears but I put it mainly down to "lazy rider" syndrome lol meaning you are hitting cruise speed, bike is settled so your physical movements are more relaxed and less articulate.
Otherwise I wonder when was last service and how good is the oil cause old/thin oils can give gear change issues.

Hope this helps

I also find my gear changes are lazy when I'm busy doing other things....like texting or eating a whopper

I'm happy to cruise around at 80 in 6th cause the bike has the torque... it's not like it's a litre bike or 600 LOL

RE: Shift Stalling at 5&6 - Shordy - 16-06-2015

A friend of mine rode my Gen 2 a couple of weeks ago.
He normally rides a '08 Gixxer 1000 and his only comment was "why has it got 6 gears".
He said "drop it in 3rd and just leave it there".
So true....

"The moderators should make this thread sticky so that we can address these issues properly"
With all that cheese I would have thought this thread would already be sticky.
:-)
