PC problems - Big Steve - 14-12-2006 This one has me stumped guy's, my PC's internet speed has become painfully slow recently but the wifes laptop runs from a wireless router from the same external ADSL modem I use and it's fine ' did the usual checks (firewall, virus protection etc and isolated just my PC, any ideas, network card?/driver I'm normally able to bluff my way through but this is really pissing me off Any info would be greatly appreciated. Check your task manager for stealth processes All OK ? Run your defrag, disc cleanup, delete cookies & history. Re: PC problems - Djpete - 14-12-2006 exactly what Rev said. Mine slowed down suddenly and my IT guy told me to check vents. I had a stack of papers blocking one and it fixed the problem.
