HELP and Gen 1 bits wtb. - Buhjones - 03-09-2014 Hi all. I have just spoken to my mechanic and the news is bad. Stator cover has a hole in it and no wreckers have any. Also the fuel pressure reg and the fuel pump seem to have sh@ themselves. Any idea what I should do? Aftermarket fuel pump? Thanks muchly in advance. RE: HELP and Gen 1 bits wtb. - pan - 03-09-2014 Hi. I have a re-conditioned Gen 1 (1999, external) pump. Cost me $150, but never used it. Let me know if it's cost effective, compared to buying after-market pumps... You guys rock. Mechanic dismantled the pump and cleared 15 years worth of grit and possums from the filters. Have scoped the cheap chinese covers (like the cracked one currently on there) and it looks like $50 well spent. Thanks guys. "yayayayayayay, busa day, la la la la la yay!" |
