More Ponies Pleeze - dad1300 - 14-01-2014

Can anyone advise on where is a Busa performance shop in Sydney with a good reputation please.

I want to still use 95 - 98 octane so 13.5 should be my upper compression limit.
Looking at the yank site 'RC's Performance' with 3 plus levels it seems to keep the beast rideable on the road and track days - porting, cams, cam chain adjuster, valves and springs and a few other things should keep reliability and deliver on a few extra rideable ponies.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Cheers

Unfortunately, a "few extra ridable ponies" are not enough. Stroker Crank & Big Block for the extra torque which is what you really want.
13:1 CR is enough, & a good tuner will be able to set it up for 91 / 95 / 98 on the Gen2 AB& C Map Switch.
A lot of the "rideable" stuff depends on how the cams are set, bike is tuned & the Gearbox Gearing & Sprockets used.
You are better off keep your bike as is, keep riding it. Buy a 2nd Busa, take it to your favorite engine builder, give him $30k & tell him what you want.

I also highly recommend Carl at Road & Circuit (RC Motorcycle Tuning). Give him a call on 96029844.

Get this bloke to build you a 1600+cc Busa Motor with a marine billet crank in it & a Competition CNC Ported Head in it. Don't go over 395 intake cam lift & your top end will last with the right springs in it. Get the lot done in one go, clutch, gearbox hi ratio 5th n 6th install, crank, head etc etc then get it shipped, then get one of the local blokes to do an engine transplant & 3 map flash with the Woolich Racing Software & rig up the extra battery. -----otherwise, you'll be waiting forever. Waiting Sucks !!!
