flashed ecu/error code c44 - pete - 06-11-2012 hey guys gen 1 k6 i just finished flashing the ecu and now have the fi lite lit, comes up with an error code of c44, my manual has no error code of that number for a gen 1 but theres one for a gen 2. i also had connected a shift lite, but i removed that and the fi lite is still lit. any help would be much appreciated tia RE: flashed ecu/error code c44 - Maj - 06-11-2012 You flashed it as a eu bike, needs to be US its the 02 sensor that we and the yanks do not have but the europeans do Don't know why the gen 1 has the AU and EU listed as the same RE: flashed ecu/error code c44 - pete - 06-11-2012 (06-11-2012, 04:26pm)Maj Wrote: You flashed it as a eu bike, needs to be US no worries, thanx maj, i did read that, but then i thought i read on here not to use the us map, thanx for confirming. also a big thanx to scott (raceworx) for coming over and helping me set it up. maj, is the ecu editor base map (bin file), the same base map thats installed in the stock ecu or is it different? my bikes completely stock. RE: flashed ecu/error code c44 - Maj - 06-11-2012 base maps have been extracted from stock ecu's and are not modified gen 2 needs the EU/AU version or you get security feature faults (immobiliser on EU/AU, resistor like gen 1's use on US ) RE: flashed ecu/error code c44 - pete - 06-11-2012 thanx for the info maj. RE: flashed ecu/error code c44 - pete - 15-11-2012 is there a different fuel map i can use for a stock engine, i read that these came out on the rich side, also i have a buzz thru out the rev range but when the tre is connected this smoothes out to around 4500rpm before the buzz kicks back in, is there also a different ignition map i can use? tia. RE: flashed ecu/error code c44 - Camel - 15-11-2012 Best to get it tuned on a dyno. As for the buzz, my Gen II just broke 12,000 km and I've noticed the same buzz starting to come in. Feels like engine mounts need adjusting. Might get around to it once I get other jobs out of the way. |
