GenII fork seals - paul j - 14-10-2012

Hi all.
My09 Gen II with 18,200 Kms is leeking oil from left fork seal, is this normal for age of bike.
Cheers Paul j.Confused

My 08 did this as well. My problem was the bike sat around and the dust seals went hard and cracked letting crap into the oil seals and wrecking them.
Easy job to change them out if you are mechanically minded. Here is a run down from hayabusa.org doing the job on a GSXR 1000 but is exactly the same process -

I got 60k on mine, no fork seal issue for me...
