Dale RE: Servicing Assistance Please - bazman - 13-08-2012 Heya Dale, I've got a standard print manual (Clymer) over here, if you wanna borrow it.... ![]() ![]() RE: Servicing Assistance Please - grantxr6t - 13-08-2012 (13-08-2012, 11:48am)Dale Wrote: Hey Guys,Go to utube about taken fairings off.Warm up motor and drop oil .Then unscrew oil filter,if haven.t got filter remover punch a hole thru filter and unscrew.fill with oil,run and check oil mogul 5100,10w40 4liters.You'll have abit left over.cheers RE: Servicing Assistance Please - BEAU - 13-08-2012 Watch the you tube video on removing Hayabusa fairings, lift the tank to get to air box... That's pretty much it. If your putting on an oil filter that you can undo with a socket, that will make it easyer next time round. Is it a major or minor service? (how many kms)? RE: Servicing Assistance Please - Busdriver - 13-08-2012 And use a tension wrench to do up the sump plug. A few guys here have done the plug up too tight and stripped the thread in the sump pan. 16.5 ft lbs is the correct torque setting :) RE: Servicing Assistance Please - sutur - 14-08-2012 (13-08-2012, 08:46pm)Busdriver Wrote: the sump pan. 16.5 ft lbs is the correct torque setting :) Thank you, noted. I take out the inner(the black plastic bits) and outer panels out in one go. Remember the little clip up under the nose, spread them apart and lift out forward. Whole thing should take 5 mins tops. Be especially careful that the lugs go in right when you re-assemble, or it could scratch. I only ever do up my oil filter hand tight, and have never had a leak. I have a cheap belt type filter tool to get them off($2 throw out bin type) just found this - pretty much how I do it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_mXwjAI7xU RE: Servicing Assistance Please - simmo - 14-08-2012 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft1IkFZkJts&feature=player_embedded Hope this helps ![]() RE: Servicing Assistance Please - Ward P - 14-08-2012 (14-08-2012, 09:07pm)simmo Wrote: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft1IkFZkJts&feature=player_embedded ![]() RE: Servicing Assistance Please - Dale - 15-08-2012 Thanks Ward ![]() ![]() Good onya Simmo ![]() |
