Did oil change, no speedo.. WTF?? - bigjay - 17-06-2012

Hey guys what would i need to look for to find a fault with a non working speedo? When the key is turned it moves from 0 to 300 and back so its not the dash. The sensor is tightened in the sprocket cover. All the plugs are where they are supposed to be. I'm at a lossPi_freak..... All this from an oil change which is done on the right side of the bike. Go figure!!! By the way, its an 03 busa.
THANKS GUYSPi_thumbsup

You don't have HIDs too do you?

RE: Did oil change, no speedo.. WTF?? - bigjay - 18-06-2012

No bud, no HIDs'. Tried jamie's from s and r pro and it worked so i bought a brand new one (speed sensor) and now it doesn't. Busa 1 me 0.

Now, I have gone through 1 x Gen1 & 1 x Gen2 Speed Sensor.
Noticed the 2nd was stuffed just after the dyno @ S @ R.
Looked through the manual to test the sensor with multimeter & found nothing. Wires straight into the combination meter. Had power to the connector when it is switched on. Must be stuffed. New one on order.

Confused
Replaced the Speed Sensor today. Must be something up the other end as its still got no speed reading. Then, on the way home, the 2A fuse to the C100 blew, so no digital speed reading for that either. 15kms later, F1 light came on.
Wtf Broken down, and "I am a broken man".
