Battery Help Please - Dale - 12-06-2012 Hey Guys, Can someone please point me towards a good / reasonably priced battery for my gen1 I did a search and battery world seemed to be popular, but my last one was from there and it is a piece of crap (it was never good from day one). Do any of our vendors sell good batteries ?? Thanks .. Dale RE: Battery Help Please - RyanG - 12-06-2012 We use ritar or alco batteries. Buy direct from the manufacturer. RE: Battery Help Please - Greeny_SA - 12-06-2012 The last one I bought was a Yuasa from battery world $140 Nov 2011. The one before was a cheapie from here & lasted 3 yrs . http://www.batteriesdirect.com.au/ RE: Battery Help Please - Maj - 12-06-2012 last couple have been a motobat , seems good so far and a SSB dry fit, but not sure if that one is too tall for std fitment , but its got a hell of a punch RE: Battery Help Please - bandit - 12-06-2012 Motobatt i got one from Bochmans batteries exellent replacement for the crap stock battery and not a bad price ![]() RE: Battery Help Please - bazman - 12-06-2012 ![]() ![]() Does this mean that it's my turn to push-start you next time we ride?!? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Battery Help Please - A^K^T - 12-06-2012 I came across this site on another forum. Battery Mart RE: Battery Help Please - GRUNTMAX - 13-06-2012 Do not go el-cheapo on the Main Battery. About $250 @ battery world; YUASA YTZ14S. I have 1 of the Motobatt batteries to stick in a slightly modified Tiger Racing Gen2 Secondary Battery holder. See how it goes. Had to switch to 24volt starter with 1580cc as the motor didn't want to turn over after it had warmed up, even with BigCC Racing Low Ratio Starter Gear fitted. It is slightly taller than the standard battery but that doesn't seem to be a problem in my Gen 2. Has more punch than the Yuasa I had in it previously and claim a 2% discharge per month. Been a good battery so far. Also comes with 12 month warranty. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GTX12-BS-YTX12-BS-GEL-CYCLE-BATTERY-HONDA-KAWA-SUZUKI-/290614822261?pt=AU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a9fe4575 RE: Battery Help Please - Dale - 13-06-2012 Thanks for the input guys .. ![]() RE: Battery Help Please - bazman - 13-06-2012 Let me know which way/how much $$$ and if you're happy with it when ya buy one, Dale.....coz I'm still yet to get my new one!! ![]() ![]() RE: Battery Help Please - pashnit - 14-06-2012 I have MotoBatt's in both Busa's. Very cheap at $65US and they have 4-poles. We don't sell them anymore (just Yuasa), but so far so good. Not sure if those are available in AU, but the US Distributor is in Florida.
