ecu editor - Skidmarx - 10-04-2012 so who out there is using ecu editor, and how much do ya love it ![]() RE: ecu editor - simmo - 10-04-2012 Me & lots ![]() RE: ecu editor - Maj - 10-04-2012 x5 :) RE: ecu editor - Skidmarx - 10-04-2012 iv just ordered the interface, and have been playing with the program, cant wait to have a crack at it, although its quite different to what iv used before, im a bit scared lol RE: ecu editor - BikerBoy - 11-04-2012 I've been using ecueditor for about a year, and yeah it's a fantastic program. Can't wait until the new datalog box is in my hands!! RE: ecu editor - GRUNTMAX - 11-04-2012 Question: Is it still a "fidley wire up" job ? Answer: Apparentley not. http://www.boostbysmith.com/ Improved Design Woolich Racing Unit As of 02-04-2012 I now have available a new improved device (manufactured by Woolich Racing). The new flasher has surface mount technology so its smaller, flush mounted toggle switch that wont break off if you drop the unit, much faster baud rate for datalogging with laptop connected (able to take many more sample in the same amount of time for better auto-tune functionality. The Woolich Racing flasher also features indication LED's to show which mode you are in, power to the unit, as well as datastream activity to help troubleshoot. The interface that BoostBySmith offering is about a 10 minute install. Insert 2 pins into previously empty locations on your ECU connector Insert 2 pins into previously empty locations on your yosh plug connector under the seat Plug the USB cable into your computer, plug the flashing box into the Yosh and SDS connectors under the seat and you are ready to go! The box doesn't stay on the bike, so you can tune all of these attributes and not have any additional boxes on the bike permanently installed. Requires not 1 single wire splice. That's it! Now just install the software, open up a base map, and you are ready to start unlocking the full potential of your Gen II Hayabusa. .....all good ! Next time,......maybe. Keeps improving. ![]() RE: ecu editor - simmo - 11-04-2012 (11-04-2012, 08:25am)BikerBoy Wrote: I've been using ecueditor for about a year, and yeah it's a fantastic program. I was looking at that, I have had a little play with the auto tune a while ago Data box looks the go, let us know how you get on New up date is out 3. Last one was 2.55 I think these thing are great for the Gen 2s, RE: ecu editor - Camel - 12-04-2012 ECU Editor is very good. RE: ecu editor - RyanG - 12-04-2012 got any links/details on these? i presume they are to allow you to change mapping etc to improve performance? i have a set of yoshi R77 Slip ons and have been considering getting a power commander, would this be a better option? RE: ecu editor - TheShredder - 12-04-2012 (12-04-2012, 08:23am)RyanG Wrote: got any links/details on these? i presume they are to allow you to change mapping etc to improve performance? Hands down Ryan theres not a lot it cant do eg Custom tuning of fuel maps, boostcontrol, nos set up, ingnition kills, top speed limits removed, turn off key imob option, no 02 sensor, etc the list goes on & on Power commander( now considered old )( reguards to Busa tuning ) is only only an option IF you cant do it yourself & need to go to a shop for tuning as they dont touch the ecu edit flashing Or You spend the $ to buy a PC load a map off the net which is a waste of money if you dont still take it to a shop to have it tuned correctly to your bike. Considering you only have the slip ons its a bit of an out lay if your not going to be playing with it all the time you would be better off just spending the money & going to Petes Pitstop to get the whole lot done in 1 go & then forget it & just ride RE: ecu editor - GRUNTMAX - 12-04-2012 (12-04-2012, 09:32am)TheShredder Wrote:Sure, problem is, there ain't no downloadable maps for a 1580cc stroker motor on the net. & most are set up with different cams n porting etc Sure, it'd go on the dyno. Mmmmmm ....copy a PCIII 1340map to a PCV file +18%. At least it'll start n you'll get it idling cool n smoothbefore it hits the dyno with autotune. Sure, you can disable your idle speed control & avoid fitting an XTRE. Reset idle speed to 1270-1300rpm by fooling the ecu with throttle position sensor position & reducing throttle stop gap on Gen2's Generally, every motorcycle dyno operator here knows the PCdr software, & it's easy to get a dyno tune whereever you are. N what if ya running a supercharged 1507, where ya gona download a map for that? Has Pete got a bin file? You've still gota get it on a dyno whereever you are. And, if somebody wanted to do it all themselves(12-04-2012, 08:23am)RyanG Wrote: got any links/details on these? i presume they are to allow you to change mapping etc to improve performance? --AFR maps n train to PCV AFR maps on the road yourself. You'll find that a lot use both Editor n PCV. ![]() Is uncle CAMEL back @ work yet, or is his back still rooted ? Nope, not back at work, had carpal tunnel surgery, surgery to relieve pressure on crushed funny bone nerve and two procedures on a pesky bulged disk that is giving me no pain but is slowly paralysing me. I've been kept busy at home wiring up Busa motors into kit cars. Cheers, Camel RE: ecu editor - GRUNTMAX - 13-04-2012 (13-04-2012, 01:21am)Camel Wrote:That's no good that "slowly paralysing" bit.
