RE: Easter petrol prices - grumpy - 03-04-2012

come to the land of being ripped off (N.Z.) They saying by easter $2.26 for 91 and $2.34 for 95 and our wages are also lower than yours too. We got a mobil service station that keeps the prices down but people still fill there car at the biggest fuel robber (BP) just down the road. I wont go near BP or Z as thet the 1sr to go up and the last to come down.[/b]

RE: Easter petrol prices - Greeny_SA - 03-04-2012

Aren't we supposed to have a price surveillance authority to stop this easter
petrol RIP OFF which has been happening for years.Another useless govt dept not performing .

RE: Easter petrol prices - Aussie Steve - 03-04-2012

They will never do anything about petrol prices because the higher it goes the more tax they get. The useless government of this country, doesn't matter who it is either, will do nothing about energy costs until our economy is as f###ed as most of Europe's is....then they will blame us!

RE: Easter petrol prices - Buhjones - 03-04-2012

The biggest earner for the big petrol stations is the in store crap that they flog off.
If you want to punish the arseholes for the price gouging, refuse to buy the 2for1 drinks and chocolates.
News this morning said prices would be low this easter, wonder what happened there.....

RE: Easter petrol prices - TheAlchemist - 03-04-2012

yeah, but they all got given company cars and fuel cards, and after months of using taxpayers money for long lunches and justifying prostitutes as a work related expense, their verdict was that.....they wanted a payrise and would also be away for the next 8 months on paid stress leave.

You are 100% correct. Have a look what a Fisherman or Farmer pays for his diesel compared to pump prices. No, it is not just the 10% GST off.
About 47% Customs & Excise tax off. Every time the price of oil goes up, the Government makes a shitload. So, your all paying about twice as much as you should be. The only reason that Pommie Immigrant bitch Gillard didn't bring in Carbon Tax on Petrol was because she'd loose too many votes. But all the farmers & commercial transport diesel vehicle operators will be paying Carbon Tax on Diesel, so all your food bills will skyrocket, from actual farming food production costs, to transport of all the food to the supermarkets. Oh don't worry, she'll "compensate" you by making you all fuc*in starvePi_thumbsdownPi_thumbsdownScary

Well saidPi_thumbsup Unfortunately in this country all we do is bitch but dont do anything about it. In some foreign countries its the norm to protest, smash, burn and destroy things until the government is overthrown. Wonder how much more ass f*&^ing we will endure before we actually put our words into action.......Someone pass me the vasoline, its time to lube upScary

RE: Easter petrol prices and beyond - FalcoPerigri - 06-04-2012

Yup, it's coming to stay. High Prices for ULP is definitely never going to go down. In the UK it's 1.48 Pounds/litre.
The End of the Oil Age, (fossil fuels) is not because Oil has run out, just like the end of the Stone Age was not because we ran out of stones...

RE: Easter petrol prices - Aussie Steve - 06-04-2012

I saw on channel Nine news last night the price watch commisions official line is

"we see no evidence of excess price rises just before or during holiday seasons" this was as the price rose 16 cents per litre. I would sack those tosser's so fast they would think they'd never had a job....same with all the others too....long overdue rebellion is coming I hope!

RE: Easter petrol prices - Dale - 07-04-2012

Petrol is cheaper today Coolsmiley .. Funny how everyone had to fill up yesterday to go away for easter .. Wtf

RE: Easter petrol prices - CeeJay07 - 07-04-2012

It sucks...filled up my jerry cans (for the John Deere) 3 days ago paid 172.9 for 98 Ultimate.....filled the car up this morning 165.9. Normal pricing cycle my arse, funny how the dearest part of this cycle always falls on public holidays, beginning of school holidays etc. Another example of being bent over and having to cop it sans lube.

RE: Easter petrol prices - DAD - 07-04-2012

The Government loves it when fuel prices go up. They get even more tax from us suckers.

RE: Easter petrol prices - grumpy - 08-04-2012

thats why the governments never seem to say a word about fuel prices they just rub their greedy lil hands together and the fuel companies can feed us with all the bullshit under the sun as to why fuel needs to go up. We had a bloke on tv (NZ) last week saying with this crisis in Iran fuel prices will more than likely go up this week but they will probably come down next week if the other oil countrys pull together gee up before easter down after easter they must think we,re all stupid. That shows even the media are ruled what they are told to say to try and justify us being shafted once again. Plus this guy said we not that bad off we are only 15cents a litre behind australia we are $2.26 a litre for 95 octane and about $2.36 for 98.
