Because of EVEN wear between sprockets and chain. Worn sprockets wear out chains fast and vice versa. Thats how it was explained to me anyway. RE: Aftermarket Chains? - sutur - 02-11-2011 Ahhhhh OK...thank you. RE: Aftermarket Chains? - FalcoPerigri - 05-11-2011 (02-11-2011, 09:35am)BikerBoy Wrote: I use RK chains with no complaints. The RK is OEM for the Hayabusa, according to the owner's manual.. I'd like to know exactly where to buy/order a replacement with the XW (ring), equivalent to the OEM GB50GVSV Z24/114 links (as quoted from the Specs) for my 2009 Busa. What about sources in the USA? I got mine through Supersprox when I bought new sprockets, but you can get them from suppliers all over the world including Australian stockists like Bikebiz, aussiebiker & motospares. Just google 'RK Chains' and you've got plenty of choices. If you've been looking specificaly for a 114 link chain, you wont find it. My chain was a 120. You remove the extra ones to make it a 114 link chain. |
