Plenty of BBQ's and beer should get it fitting pretty snug Corbs.
Maybe stick it in the bathtub for an hour, scrunch it all up a few times to loosen the grain, then put it on and wear it around the house for a while till it starts to dry? Stay out of the Sun while it's wet or the leather will go hard and shitty. Also maybe try the Dainese leather restore kits. I've never used it but have read many posts saying it makes the leather feel softer and gets rid of that rigid feel.

Wear it while ur out riding on the next couple of really stinkin' hot 30+ sunny days, Corbs.....and keep riding in it till ur sweatin' harder than a hookers pussy on payday!!! And then do it all some more, and some more, and....some more!!!!
That should get rid of that nice new leather smell......but it WILL still feel really stiff & hard (...about as stiff & as hard as YOU get when ya ride past a bunch of catholic school girls)!!!

Do NOT put dubbin on anything leather that you want to wear. Its for bloody boots at best!
If leather gets wet do NOT dry it anywhere near a heat source or in the sun.
Unlike the HD lads may say, copious amounts of beer diluted urine does not make leather wear/fit better.
