Reversing Camera - BusaJim - 11-09-2011

Has anyone installed a reversing camera just wondering if they are worth it.

The wife reversed her car into a wall again that makes it twice now and at $300.00 tail light its getting expensive.

thanks

Jim

less then that buddy.

A little while ago I got a new rear view mirror installed, with a little GPS touch screen in the corner, and hooked up to a reversing camera. that was 300..
If you look on ebay you should be able to find something for your make and model of car..

I have one, a camera and mirror-LCD monitor. I don't like the mirror monitor, an in dash monitor is better.

For close distances they work well but in bright sun they are harder to view.

If you are going to buy one, let me know because I'll sell you mine for a half reasonable offer.

on my crewmen I fitted reversing sensors from supercheap'about $50 .they have been there for 5yrs with no problems .no camera they just beep and the closer you get to something the faster it beeps. Saved me from painting a third tailgate.

They are worth every cent my opinion, I have them on all my cars now, both the Partol and then Tida (yes all nissan's?). I don't ever want to be on the position when a bike or worse a child is behind and you can't see them? Sensors are great too but on the Patrol I run both. The key is wide angle and night vision of course and place them as high as you can.

I have my Audi Q7 with Reversing Camera and the lots - many features - just love it...... Makes life very easy while parking and I have learned to park with out looking into my mirrors (just the camera) and people watching are stroked....

I bought one sometime back for experiment on eBay for 79$ shipped
The ones which come as a rear view mirror attachments

You can get a fully optioned TFT screen monitor DVD player and CD with all input options and RC for about 350$ on eBay
