Sunday ride Mountain to the Sea. - Busarider - 28-08-2011 The wife and I headed up to Mt Tamborine for breakfast then down the other side to the ocean then back up over the Mountain again and home. It is much more fun taking the long way around. Saw a couple of Busa's so gave them a wave. On top of the Mountain. Our favourite cafe on the mountain. Have to watch these little fellows the love to help you eat. The view from the other side of the Mountain looks down to the ocean. Quick pic of the ocean looking from Burleigh Heads to Surfers Paradise. RE: Sunday ride Mountain to the Sea. - crumpy - 28-08-2011 looks great i will be going through there for sure now in 3 weeks after seeing those pics ive got to go there, hows the roads up there now RE: Sunday ride Mountain to the Sea. - Busarider - 28-08-2011 There not to bad still the odd bumpy bit but nothing to worry about. RE: Sunday ride Mountain to the Sea. - jamesallan - 28-08-2011 Awesome shots , thanks for sharing a great part of our countryside. Looks like you had a top day out. RE: Sunday ride Mountain to the Sea. - RyanG - 28-08-2011 Wheres that cafe?? Absolutely fantastic view... I haven't found that one yet :) Another good stop for lunch is St Bernards pub on the ocean side of the mountain. RE: Sunday ride Mountain to the Sea. - Ward P - 28-08-2011 Watch those little bird buggers! I tried to pick one up like you do a budgie, by sticking a finger underneath it and lifting it so it steps onto your finger. It worked but the bloddy thing wasn't impressed and proceceeded to bite a chunk out of said finger. As I shook said finger, the prick of a bird refused to let go which left me madly running around screaming like a girl(sorry to all the non-screaming girls) and spraying blood everywhere with said bird hanging on by its beak trying not to be flicked off into oblivian. It did let go eventually, and eventually the finger healed. It was very funny after, but hurt like shit for an hour or so, and I still get ribbed about it-and the "budgie scar". BUT just don't think they are pretty and just like budgies! the little darlings can take a lump out of you, and dont let go ! Beautiful area BTW. I had a Rainbow Lotrrikeet for 13 years called Einstine, He was the meanest little bird iv ever met, I found when he latched onto me like that i just took it and pretended i diddnt care he let go pretty quick then, if i moved or tried to shake him off he got more agressive, hurt like hell but Let me know next time your up this way again, i only live at the bottom of that hill gold coast side. I have friends that live in Tamborine, so I want to try and make the trip up when I can. I was a bit upset when Bazman was up there recently. Would have loved to have been there too. Cheers .. Dale |
