Fairing Repair on the Gold coast - RyanG - 17-08-2011 hi all, just chasing any recommendations for painters etc to respray and do a minor repair on the right hand side fairing on my bike?? I let the old man take it for a spin and when he got back he lost his footing and dropped it (stationary at the time). Damage is minimal, just a scuff and a slight crack in the fairing near the clutch cover... I can get a new fairing for $400 delivered which is painted and already got the stickers on it from Suzuki, just want to see what i would be up for for a repair. Also where would i get a set of the Buell Pegs so i can swap mine over, another casualty of the fall was the right hand peg :( Thanks in Advance. Could you get one for me? Please ![]() Anyway the repair will cost you probably more than that so new one for that price is a bargain not to be missed. RE: Fairing Repair on the Gold coast - RyanG - 17-08-2011 I'll sell you my slightly damaged one for $200 :) RE: Fairing Repair on the Gold coast - Shifu - 17-08-2011 (17-08-2011, 12:19pm)RyanG Wrote: I'll sell you my slightly damaged one for $200 :) I already have one of these ![]() RE: Fairing Repair on the Gold coast - ROD - 17-08-2011 I would go the new one safe bet it will colour match ![]() The Buell pegs you get at MORGAN & WACKER BRISBANE 54 Ross Street, Newstead QLD 4006 07 3252 5691 RE: Fairing Repair on the Gold coast - RyanG - 17-08-2011 (17-08-2011, 03:14pm)ROD Wrote: I would go the new one safe bet it will colour match Yeah agreed about the colour, I'm pretty anal about that sort of stuff and they never seem to be the same when they are sprayed. Are you aware if the buell pegs will bolt straight on? I believe I have read they need to be modified? Any idea what needs to be done? Thanks for the details mate RE: Fairing Repair on the Gold coast - ROD - 17-08-2011 Little bit of grinding so dont sit on exhaust and then a 10mm dynobolt to use the tube of the dynobolt around the pin 30 min tops RE: Fairing Repair on the Gold coast - BEAU - 17-08-2011 Will you panel come with the $200 heatshield for that price? Heatsheild as in the foam like stuff stuck to the inside of the fairing? i would believe so, i will receive it either tomorrow or friday so i will let you know. In other news, i ordered the wrong colour so i may have a spare (white with red stickers) to get rid of for the price i bought it for.... Very Cheap insurance.... In any case if you have a spare you want to get rid off I will be happy to take it of your hands for a custom paint job. Let me know.
