knee down - Kozo - 14-07-2011 how easy is it to go knee down the busa ?forces etc RE: knee down - 06BUSA - 14-07-2011 (14-07-2011, 08:41pm)Kozo Wrote: how easy is it to go knee down the busa ?forces etc Hey Kozo, it took me most of the day at Phillip Island to get my knee down and that was on a controlled circuit on a good surface on a 600cc suzuki hire bike with soft tyres. Have been riding my Busa for the last 2 years and there's no way on a public road I would try and get my knee down! Just too risky. Remember the saying : there's old riders and there's bold riders, but there's no old bold riders. Enjoy your ride and leave the knee down for the track days. RE: knee down - Legend - 14-07-2011 Pan's the man for the knee down .....plenty of pic's about. Leonard. Legend is right too. Lots of pics... Best to do a track day + Superbike school and learn the slow way, rather than lose control trying to do it soon... Same as any bike really... The angle of lean on every bike is nothing compared to the true race dudes, they use the knee to guage lean and then lift, some even come close to elbow down. For us mere mortals just get your body stupidly off the bike for the speed you are doing and its easy. You dont need a knee to hit to go fast. I have been knee down on my limit and passed by guys with correct lines and body position who just flew by. As Pan said do track days - schooling, listen to those that know then practice - practice - practice etc. |
