17/45 sprockets gen 1, will it fit? - drworm - 07-06-2011 As the title says, I want to fit 17/45 sprockets to the Bus, as I am due for new chain. I am currently running 16/43 and like the ratio, but want to run a 17 front for longevity. According to the Gearing commander webpage, a 17/45 combo (with 114 links) is 5 mm shorter centre to center than stock. Since it has been so long, I cant remember how close the adjusters are to the front with a new chain/ standard sprockets. Anyone done it? Will it fit? What about 17/46 as this is 9.5 shorter (and closer to 16/43) ??? Also, whats the go with JT sprockets? Seems to be common in shops here, but havent heard anything other than salesman talk about them. Cheers Ben |
