Who will be next into the 9's??? - CAS3234 - 10-07-2006
We had 3 Hayabusa club members knocking on the door to the 9's on Sunday the 9th in the new Streetfighter class.
So who's it going to be??
Bruce?
Gazza?
Simmo?
These guys have "stepped up" and given it a go on a properly preped track, and have found the added $10 expense worth it.
Simmo knocked 3 tenths off his PB with a 10.1 on his first time ever on a good track and then backed it up with 10.0's 3 times.
Gazza was running 10.0's too, with too high gearing and wheel stands a mile high.
Bruce was his ever consistant with 10.1 - 10.0 all day.
They also got over 12 runs, and we probably could have gotten more if we hung around the staging lanes as the officials would prefer to see someone race rather than sit and wait for the next class to get their act together.
Congratulations guys on the top effort. Hope to see you out there for the 6th of August, they will only be taking pre entries for it so get in ASAP. <i></i>

Thanks for you help all day Dave I had a blast. Simmo was amazing that copper coated shit he put on must be slippery .

Simmo had already run 10.2 a couple of times actually...
If Simmo's copper did so much, my money's on Bruce when he gets the gold plated stuff... unless Gazza adds some bling...

ps... a young guy on a ZX10R showed all us Busa owners ( ok me ) what its like to come 2nd..... and again and again and again. Great bike , good rider..and did I mention its a Kawasaki. <i></i>

come to think of it on the 2nd last run against Bruce he also missed 2nd gear, it always pays to carry a 10mm spanner in the pit lane ( thats also the size that fits the gear lever bolt, funny that )

I wouldn't be worried about a ZX14, not in Sydney anyway, most will buy it for the factor (read wank).
But up in Qld there could be trouble a brewin!
My vote for next 9, would be Bruce, next meeting, first run of the night!
But watch out for Simmo and Gazza, one good 60' from either will net a 9.

Dont think for a second that me and Simmo are not trying our hardest to get that nine. We have a sixpack bet on it.
This is us last Wednesday, both red lighted, crossed the line within a couple of hundreths of each other.
