Cheers Steve RE: Shinko Tyres - ROD - 22-05-2011 Try this bloke sells shinko on ebay from Qld http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SHINKO-005-TYRE-240-40-18-SUZUKI-M109-HARLEY-V-ROD-/200602875988?pt=AU_Motorcycle_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb4dcf854 RE: Shinko Tyres - Dan85 - 23-05-2011 i think this guy does them im sure ive bought them off him in the past. http://www.mbct.com.au/contact.htm RE: Shinko Tyres - jason - 23-05-2011 Yep his your man cheap to he also has the new shinko hook up whats even better then 003 ultra soft ![]() RE: Shinko Tyres - grumpy - 23-05-2011 Hi. Has anyone had any experiance with Shinko tires on the road i,m looking at getting either the 005 advance in the 200/50/17 or the 009 raven in the 200/50/17. any comments on these tires will be helpful. thank you. RE: Shinko Tyres - BEAU - 23-05-2011 Ask SKIDMARKS. Sure he had em on when he stacked. ![]() RE: Shinko Tyres - Skidmarx - 23-05-2011 yep, shinkos front and rear, theres a few factors involved in my stack, but i think the tyres did play quite a part in it, accounts from all witnesses (15 odd people) my back tyre hit a slightly damp patch on the road, under acceleration, broke traction at 140ish k's, and spat me, never will i use shinko's again, not blaming the tyres entirely, but as i said, they definatly played a part, as another busa hit the same patch, accelerating just as hard, but with different tyres and he didnt even notice it RE: Shinko Tyres - grumpy - 24-05-2011 (23-05-2011, 09:50pm)Skidmarx Wrote: yep, shinkos front and rear, theres a few factors involved in my stack, but i think the tyres did play quite a part in it, accounts from all witnesses (15 odd people) my back tyre hit a slightly damp patch on the road, under acceleration, broke traction at 140ish k's, and spat me, never will i use shinko's again, So do you think the Avon AV56 would be the better tire to go for i just want to put a 200 on the back and Shinko and Avon seem to be the only 2 that do that size. cheers. RE: Shinko Tyres - Dan85 - 24-05-2011 grumpy all the big manufacturers should do a 200 section rear. I used to run a 200 bridgestone battle axe on the rear of mine and also a 200 pilot power. Skidmarx where you using the flatter profile drag type tyres or where they the road style tyres they are now producing? I used a drag style on the back of my gen2 for a while and it was ok but you could feel the edges cornering. RE: Shinko Tyres - Skidmarx - 24-05-2011 im not sure what its supposed to be, but it is quite square, very sketchy in corners, i didnt think much of it as iv been known to hang the ass out on the odd occasion, ill find out exactly what they are, lethal in the wet, and not much chop in the dry And grumpy iv never ridden on avons, so wouldnt realy have an informed opinion on them, but my opinion on tyres in general is you get what you pay for, cheap tyres in my experience can become quite nasty very quickly RE: Shinko Tyres - Dan85 - 24-05-2011 skidmarx sounds alot like the drag style tyres. they work well on the drag strip but not real good in the wet or corners. RE: Shinko Tyres - grumpy - 24-05-2011 only 200s i can find on that rocky mountain site is either Shinko,Avon or dunlop and im not a dunlop person the avon storm2 seem to have a good write up. RE: Shinko Tyres - 463046 - 24-05-2011 Just ordered some new Shinko "hook up" drag tyres. Got them from Mad Micks Tyres in Goodna near Willowbank. Good price and low freight cost too. RE: Shinko Tyres - Batfink - 09-12-2013 I know you get what you pay for... but right now I can get a set of Shinko 009 Raven high milage sports tyres delivered to my door for $259 Local dealer wants about $263 for a PR2 REAR ONLY or $475 for set on rims RE: Shinko Tyres - pan - 09-12-2013 (09-12-2013, 02:53pm)Batfink Wrote: I know you get what you pay for... but right now I can get a set of Shinko 009 Raven high milage sports tyres delivered to my door for $259 Ask them about the build date Tony. I got a set of Shinkos from QLD for $299 delivered a few years back and the build date was only 3 months old. Tyres were great, sticky touring tyres. I loved them! |
