Brocks shortmeg/alienhead differences gen1 & gen2 - sutur - 26-03-2011

Just an FYI I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere so I'm dropping it here and hopes it will eventually turn up on google somewhere in case anyone else was after the same question.

Straight from brocks:

"The gen 1 system doesn't fit the gen 2. The oil pans are different and there
are serious contact issues--- not saying that we haven't had guys use them
anyway (not caring that they look like death, rub and stick out almost
straight back after you make a new bracket)... but a fractured oil pan and
ensuing leak almost caused one guy to go down!

Now... the Gen 2 system WILL fit the Gen 1 (they are wider at the pan with
no contact issues) and some custom builders actually order the gen 2's for
the 1's because the fit a little better with the 240 arms etc.

Performance is about the same with the Gen 2 having an advantage due to a
more modern design philosophy.
