Shark Leathers - Any good? - tenacious - 20-02-2011 Saw an ad in two wheels this month advertising a $300 race suit for one. Seems a damn good price to me. They ru out of Helensvale in QLD just not sure if they import or make their own. Anybody know much about them or their products? Just wondering what the quality is like. Here's the link to their website if anybody's interested - they have some very reasonably priced gear for sale it seems. http://www.sharkleathers.com.au/ RE: Shark Leathers - Any good? - Pommie - 20-02-2011 I bought some boots off them last year, only $150, and they are great, A lot more comfortable than my Alpinestars that fell to pieces after 18mths, The kid in the shop is really helpful and polite. I know of one or two others that have dealt with them for stuff like a back brace etc and they had no probs either. Only down the road from me too which was a bonus RE: Shark Leathers - Any good? - Belzybob - 18-04-2011 At less than my last direct from USA suit price, it has to be a bargain. All the right words are there in the description (more than a few spelling mistakes though), so the only thing that crosses my mind is, "Australian retailer selling at affordable price, what's the catch?". RE: Shark Leathers - Any good? - davecrowley - 19-04-2011 Just a wild guess but it could be imported from china at those prices, not that it is not good gear, its got me interested. ![]() RE: Shark Leathers - Any good? - Shifu - 19-04-2011 (19-04-2011, 12:00am)Belzybob Wrote:(18-04-2011, 09:58pm)Shifu Wrote: On a face of it looks like a pretty good deal. They do ladies cuts as well as mens and are a pretty good fit. Her suit, boots, gloves have lasted well, and appear to be quite good quality. The young guy in the chair is awesome to deal with too. Nice guy. Only problem was when we got home, the zip was the wrong way around for the jacket to zip to the pants. We werent worried but, as she doesnt zip them together anyway. RE: Shark Leathers - Any good? - Ward P - 19-04-2011 RST leathers are made in Pakistan. RE: Shark Leathers - Any good? - Mercenary - 23-04-2011 Our local dealer does sell Shark full face helmets but they are mostly for export though. That leather looks good |
