big thanks Tom - Steve - 20-11-2010 just got from Toms place (Tomrux) after he fitted up my braided brake lines. Big thanks Tom ![]() RE: big thanks Tom - ROD - 20-11-2010 Now i bet that feels alot better than just paying some work shop to do it You got to meet a member and probaly learnt something well done Tom ![]() RE: big thanks Tom - Macbusa - 20-11-2010 Steve, bet your loving that braided line feel to your brakes. You'll never look back mate. Some spannering and a ride sounds like a great way to spend the day. Well done tom for helping a fellow member out. Props to you. RE: big thanks Tom - CeeJay07 - 20-11-2010 ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: big thanks Tom - BikerBoy - 20-11-2010 A shame this is not more of a frequent occurence. Good on ya Tom for helping a member out. I remember earlier in the year Baby Busa and her husaband hosted a "BBQ and bring your Busa to work on day", and I have to say what a great idea. It's another step in making the AHC more of a club (just like it's called) and not just an 'online forum'. Maybe the above mentioned is something that members in each state can share the duty and make it a quarterly 'Club' event. I've seen the threads on "a dying club, and poor ride day turn outs" so maybe this is something that might appeal more to members to socialize, share some knowledge and have some fun"?. RE: big thanks Tom - tomrux - 20-11-2010 Glad to hear you are happy Steve. All good mate, glad to help out. Talking bikes n shit for a couple of hours was good Tom RE: big thanks Tom - ROD - 21-11-2010 (20-11-2010, 07:27pm)BikerBoy Wrote: A shame this is not more of a frequent occurence. Yeh we have them in vic last one was about 5 years ago ![]() RE: big thanks Tom - Steve - 21-11-2010 yeah the brakes do feel much better now, they have more bite /feel to them now. I have seen on another Brissy forum where they try and get together every few months and have a workshop day at a members home. What a great way to meet other people and also learn more about your bike. I dont have a lot of bike mechanical knowledge but do have a big shed full of tools if ever needed. |
