Amsoil full synthetic - DAVE01 - 14-10-2010 I use Amsoil in my car engines and luv it but I am wondering if anyone here uses it in there Busa and if so do you like it? This is the one I'm thinking of using. http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mcf.aspx Thanks Dave RE: Amsoil full synthetic - FalcoPerigri - 14-10-2010 (14-10-2010, 01:44pm)DAVE01 Wrote: I use Amsoil in my car engines and luv it but I am wondering if anyone here uses it in there Busa and if so do you like it? I will use Amsoil in my Busa in a heartbeat if I can get it easily. Unfortunately it's only available by post from Victoria, the last time I enquired. It's definitely THE TOP oil according to all the Tests I have read, pitched against the other Syns like Mobil 1, Motul and Shell etc etc. RE: Amsoil full synthetic - Rainbow7 - 14-10-2010 Doesn't fully-synthetic oil make your clutch slip? Not if they have the correct package included with the oil I have used full syn never had a problem but then i use Oleon which is as good as ANY full syn out there. RE: Amsoil full synthetic - DAVE01 - 14-10-2010 If you follow the link there are lots of comparisons to other oils,I use the Rd50 racing oil in the Vette because of the high zinc levels that older v8 engines need.[zinc was removed from oils because it shortens the life of catalytic converters which maters to some but not a good thing for older flat tappet engines] The motorcycle oil is available on ebay au at the moment but it can be sourced cheaper. This oil is the first true 100% synthetic oil made. I'm using Motul "something" at the moment but I wouldn't mind getting a fully-synthetic oil as we come into summer. I don't know about yours, but my Busa gets fkn ridiculously hot! - The temp gauge never goes over halfway, but it feels like I'm sitting on top of an oil heater. RE: Amsoil full synthetic - DAVE01 - 14-10-2010 there is a comparison there and I think Motul 300v is the closest. cut and pasted Provides Excellent Wet Clutch Performance AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-40 Motorcycle Oil contains no friction modifiers and promotes smooth shifting and positive clutch engagement.
